BB Zeta Gundam Knockoff

This is a gift from Alan but I have given it to another friend who has a lot more passion for SD Gundam than me. If you take a closer look at the box's artwork you will realise it's a vintage bootleg which was made in Taiwan cos there isn't any Bandai logo on the box. Bandai logo is supposed to be at the bottom right corner. Still, this toy was made of high quality plastic that is relatively white till now and the joints are still tight due to the enforcement of with metal composite. Here we have the cute little Kamille that could be dressed to SD Zeta Gundam. The parts can then be reassembled to form Wave Rider that look so cool on the Zeta stand.

I am Goofy Musketeer Happy Meal Toy

Received this wonderful farewell gift from an ex-colleague some last year ~ Peter, who has left us for further studies locally but I would always uploaded pics him surrounded by gals on Facebook. I wonder if he is really studying. Ha! Ha! Anyway, Peter is a thoughtful chap and he had given everyone, in my department a gift, in a form of toy figurine as a parting gift.

Every toy given out is of a different character and each character Peter had chosen represent the person in terms of their likeness to looks, personality, behaviour or ability. I got Goofy because I'm always cheerful I guess and I get amused with every little thing. Probably he thinks I'm a bit WOLS as well! Ha! Ha!

Thank you and all the best to Peter in everything he does in future!

Toy shelving

My thoughtful 5-month-pregnant wife had quietly made her way to IKEA, without me knowing to get a cover-top that was previously out of stock for my new toy rack. That is so sweet of her but I really feel bad for not getting my lazy ass in settling the matter before she does.

Thanx to Irene, I'm finally able to find a right spot to put my Dendrobium. A spot that won't block my view while I watch TV and also safe from my little rascals at home. Ha! Ha! I have also taken some pics within my study room or should I say toy room for your viewing pleasure. Here's the current state of my room and I hope boxes won't pile up again cos more toys also mean more cramp and messy.

Macross Chronicle 44

This issue main featured valkyrie is Max and Millia VF-9 from drawing of Fighter mode to battroid mode. But I prefer the powerful VD-1MS as known as 'Metal Siren' in Macross II anime. This issue, I also get to see the prototype VF-X valkyrie which Roy Focker had test-driven. It's not much of a different with VF-1 valkyrie in terms of outlook. Other valkyries you can find included VF-1A 'Angel Bird' and Millia's VF-1J Super valkyrie (nice drawing). Very unusual merchandise section this issue as the product is 50cm Jenny-doll-like Minmay in her DYRL final battle concert outfit and her iconic Cheongsam (body-hugging (modified in Shanghai) one-piece Chinese dress for women). There an advertisement on Macross latest wear mechandises to end the this issue posting. The Crumpler-look-alike Macross sling bag appeal to me a lot but why is the advertisement so gayish....

DX Wing Gundam (Jap Version)

After looking at the preview of MG Wing Gundam on Leon's blog, I decided to retake pics of my DX Wing Gundam. This piece is the vintage item that is made in Japan.in the 80'. It stands approximately 14" with tight joints that able sturdy poses. Despite the mega size, the toy is still able to transform to the plane mode.

This one that I'm having is still in excellent condition without yellowing or chrome wear. Toys made in Japan those days made really gone through stringent quality control and the products were manned to last.

Information from www.gundamofficial.com
This advanced mobile suit was created by a resistance group at the L1 colony cluster for the sole purpose of battling Oz. The Wing Gundam can transform into a winged "bird mode" superior to any conventional fighter plane; in this form, it can survive re-entry and fly in Earth's atmosphere. Its primary weapon is the buster rifle, an immensely powerful beam weapon which can be fired only three times before its energy supply must be recharged. For close-range combat, the Wing Gundam relies on its shoulder-mounted machine cannons and the beam sabers stored in its shield.

Berwick Saga Playstation 2

After their legal battle defending against giant Nintendo, Enterbrain has once again goes against all odds to bring us another wonderful strategy RPG on knights and magic. Certainly the type of game I like most! I guess in order to avoid any infringements of copyright, Enterbrain has change the move space on display to hexagon instead of 'Fire Emblem' style square space.

I simply love the fantasy knight setting and character design of Berwick Saga which is far more superior in terms of graphic compared to Enterbrain's first 'Tear Ring Saga'. The level of difficulty remains challenging.

I'm at 3/4 completion to the game and this game is really tough if you want to collect the valuable items even with the help of FAQ. The weapons and shields are expensive and you only get to save the game after every 5 battles rounds. Very solid game that requires lots of patience!

1/72 Minmay Guard VF-1S

1/72 Minmay Guard VF-1S on stand together with 1/144 valkyrie

I would say Hasegawa kits are much more complex compared to Gunpla since it come with many small parts and parts are mainly one colour tone (white) and hence require a lot of spraying. I was rather stunned with complexity of the kits fter getting the unbuilt kit of Minmay Guard, so I decided on getting another one that had been built by expert. Hee! Hee!

Luck was on my side as I recent found this fantastic, expertly-finished VF-1S Strike Valkyrie on eBay. This 1/72 model is highly detailed, and poseable, and features the Lynn Minmay "Moon Act" paint scheme. This is a delicate, fully-painted model and not suitable for play.

It's intended as a display piece. Finished with Tamiya acrylics, including full decal application. Sad to say that the right arm broke during shipping but nothing can’t be fixed with gun glue. I am the lucky chap in Singapore that is now the proud owner of Minmay Guard VF-1S Strike battroid!
