Electric Toys Sofvips Mega Man Sofubi

Electric Toys Sofvips Mega Man, known as Rockman in Japan, is a character from the popular video game franchise by Capcom. A nice 17cm tall soft vinyl figure of the classic game protagonist. Features limited articulation such as the arm rotating up or the torso turning but don’t expect to pull of many fancy poses with this one. Sofvips makes primarily licensed soft vinyl figures or sofubi. The quality overall is quite good, and the figures feel sort of Medicom-ish. Minor gripes with the eye design on Mega Man (the light blue highlight is sculpted and looks awkward). The figure is blue and has a stylized, cartoonish design. It is made of plastic and has a bobblehead feature. Mega Man is depicted with his signature helmet and arm cannon, the Mega Buster. He is a helper robot converted into a fighting robot to stop the evil Dr. Wily. Mega Man games are known for their side-scrolling platform gameplay, where players battle enemies and Robot Master bosses to gain their special weapons. The series has over 50 games across multiple systems.

Metal Gear Rex from Metal Gear Solid - Rexy Boi

Does this mecha toy reminds you of Metal Gear Rex from Metal Gear Solid 4 (Guns of the Patriots) … Without doubt, Dave Fusion Imaginarium had done an inspired partial SD version that looks more alive including teeth and tongue 👅. It’s now my latest pet called Rexy Boi , adopted during this year’s Singapore Comic Con SGCC… I got the bigger version as I feel that it will stand out better in my display cabinet. It comes with a base stand but nonetheless the figure holds up itself well even without stand… I had taken notice of this Malaysia based artist’s work back in Super Toy Show Kuala Lumpur when he applied similar concept to Star Wars All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) and turned the legged machine into AT-K9 🐕 … He had also done some other cool fan art toy works like the Scouter Bike and more… Shout out to Dave for bringing over these amazing stuffs across the border.

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. The first video game password I know. The classic Nintendo game I played so much as a kid. Didn’t expect the price of this game to rise this much over the years… Just happy to get the loose FC cartridge as well as the gashapon rubber figure.

Langrisser Leon Figure

It always excites me to know about new Langrisser merchandise… Of course this is my all time favourite best turn-based-strategy game after all. I first played this game on SEGA 16-Bit with the English title aka ‘War Song’. I was taken in by how the army charged & clashed. Langrisser eventually had a sequel (only in Japanese) with the same game play and offering alternate endings this time around. The games were later re-released as collector’s edition in PlayStation 1 format and I have to own it. I was fan of Langrisser Mobile as well. Such a pity, I no longer have the energy and mental focus on mobile games… Still blessed that the game finally has its own line of figurines in super deformed. I bought Leon the cavalry commander in Langrisser II by AForce… Let’s have a photo session of the figure with the game...

"Mystery Of The Emblem" Fire Emblem Heavy Knight Trading Figure

Castle under siege... Fire 🔥 Emblem aka "Monshou no Nazo" Japanese title is one of the earliest turn-based fantasy strategy games I played on console and heavy knights gave me a deep impression. I'm talking about the old NES version which I played as a kid. Here is my ‘Mystery of the Emblem’ trading figure by Yujin. Glad that I pick this mini figurine at the local hobby store. There is isn't a lot of information on this toyline and I believed it was released during early 2000.

Heavily-armoured physical combat class is known as 'Heavy Infantry'. If I'm not too rusty, they are good tanker against physical attacks but seriously fragile against magical attacks.  They look cool all big and bulky but mobility isn't their forfeit. I particularly like this figure showing opposing knight battling on a stone bridge. It's a mini diorama basically.

Overwatch Reinhardt Hasbro Figure (Custom Painted)

To be honest, I have still yet to play Overwatch since my last post on Funko Pop! Reinhardt. I'm now more thrilled to have this scale proportional figure by Hasbro Overwatch Ultimates Series! Not only I get to have the figure, I get more than what I wanted with this custom painted Reinhardt. Surprisely, the seller is just staying a few blocks away from me. I am certainly following his future listings. The new coat of paint improved the initial dull silver, makes the coat more metallic and raggard.

The heavily-armoured Reinhardt charges into battle with his Rocket Hammer, and always has his Barrier Field ready if his team comes under heavy fire. Like Funko Pop! Reinhardt, the staff of Rocket Hammer tends to bend due to the hammer's weight. I didn't feature the Barrier Field cos its like a huge piece plastic blocking Reinhardt's view. Still, I'm thankful, Hasbro throw in this accessory.

This premium 6" scale Reinhardt figure was designed with fans and collectors in mind and comes with character-inspired accessories. There are multiple points of articulation for high poseability, however due to the massive upper body, this figure may pose some challenges while on display. Certainly one of the best designs of tanker knight in the modern era!
