Toy shelving

My thoughtful 5-month-pregnant wife had quietly made her way to IKEA, without me knowing to get a cover-top that was previously out of stock for my new toy rack. That is so sweet of her but I really feel bad for not getting my lazy ass in settling the matter before she does.

Thanx to Irene, I'm finally able to find a right spot to put my Dendrobium. A spot that won't block my view while I watch TV and also safe from my little rascals at home. Ha! Ha! I have also taken some pics within my study room or should I say toy room for your viewing pleasure. Here's the current state of my room and I hope boxes won't pile up again cos more toys also mean more cramp and messy.

absolutely sweet detail from ur wife !!! uhmmm i dun hav a lovely wife by my side, so i hav to b less lazy & fix my mess by myself LOL... at least, my mess is hide in the closet so all seems organized in my living (literally)-work-toy-room, but most of the boxes r empty, those that still hav their content is because i haven’t opened’em for publishing & exhibition... i dun hav "twin boxes" like u =PPPP

I'm starting to take out figurines from card and putting them in zip-lock bag to save space and duplicate toy on display, I have thrown some of the boxes away. Packaging to MSIA or G.F.F (mostly boxes with clear plastic), I have thrown them. Most importantly, reduce my buying rate.

Wah so sweet. You must love your wife more!

absolutely in agreement with u... the best u can do to avoid temptation is to reorganize ur priorities & leave the toys-money-pocket empty... it hurts, but someone has to do that T_T

Thx for the advise bro! I love my wife and family a lot. Bring them to zoo tomorrow!

Great advise from you too bro! I'm put the money to buy the toy I like most and keeping money spent on toys under close supervision. Cheers!

Good photo of your hobby room. My hobby / home office used to look similiar to yours. Until my collection of books started to grew, and eventually my books replaced most of the toys on display. Now they are all resting in peace in my closet, or sold.

My wife is good too. =) She allows me to have another hobby room near my backyard, to build my models. heehee

We should let our spouses read our postings, so they know how much we appreciates them. LOL

It's important to find the right partner. They lift you up or bring you down. Anymore toys and shelving, I will have a look for a big house. Ha! Ha!

>> Jcee
Thx Jcee! Some were still mint in box and taking the toy out will be trouble caused my wife had plastic wrap them.

Ah that is so sweet of your wife to get you that! I also cut down on my spending on toys and threw away old boxes. Hopefully once everything is shifted to the new place i'll be able to be as neat as yours!!

Actually, I find my room rather messy. Ha! Ha! Looking forward to see your room after you shifted. Cheers!

To a certain extent, they are like deco in the room. Excite some of my guests who come to my place.
