12" Gundam Wing Zero Custom Collectors Series

Even though most of the 12" Gundam toy line had discontinued, Wing Gundam Zero Custom Collectors Series will be remembered as one of the best 12" (1/60 XXXG-00W0) action figure Bandai has ever made made for asia market. From the popular Wing Gundam anime OVA 'Endless Waltz', this fantasy and reimagination of Gundam Wing Zero is like an angel sent from orbit to save humanity had been made to big scale action figure and possessed a high quality sculpt and paint job. A wonderful piece of toy for display.

This is by far a 12" action figure by Bandai with so much detailed paint job with even weathering effect on both the wings. An action figure with joints on many areas of limbs and wings for the posability and flexibility you’ve come to expect. The armament includes the beam saber as well as the signature Twin Buster Rifle which could be split up for both arms handling or fused together to recreate the anime pose of blasting through enemy underground base. Not forgetting another gimmick like openable shoulder pad for gattling guns and it can transform to atmospheric re-entry mode. The toy doesn't come with the figure (Heero Yuy). It's just my style to get the pilot in the pics whenever possible.

DX 1/48 Victory Gundam LM312V04

A vintage standing 32cm that still upholds its reputation as the biggest Victory Gundam till today. Scale at 1/48, its in a deluxe class with the MS in styrofoam with the accessories needed for assembling. Armaments are basic like beam rifle, beam shield and beam saber. The beam shield and saber are made of red translucent plastic which I bet they are UV light sensitive. The fingers are adjustable for better grip and the thruster cover on the back can to opened and burners rotatable. Those are really great gadgets back in 1993 despite the bulky outlook of this gigantic scale. The real catch of this toy is definitely the transformable modes. From core, bottom and top fighters. Simply said like attaching the single core fighter to either the upper body (top) or section below the hip (bottom).

This 1/48 Victory Gundam that was made in 1993 by Bandai had been very difficult to come by. I bought this Gundam a few years back when the toy flea market just got shifted to China Square. If I'm correct, I got it from Vincent's collection at price below S$200/- and I felt it was a steal. The condition is in excellent with tight joints which I probably give it a C9 with stickers unapplied. As for the box condition, maybe a rating of C7.5.

This toy has a remarkable height of about 13 inches (33cm) and stands taller than other DX large scale Gundam. A brilliant toy that is able to transform to core fighter (plane mode) and has battery operation function enabling sound and light emission. Generally, I have taken out all the batteries within all my toys to prevent alkaline leakage.

DX Sazabi MSN-04

Let's post something red for auspicious reason this Chinese New Year. However in Gundam context, seeing red means deep shit if you bumped into Red Comet. Here it is a 12" DX Sazabi released in 2002 by Bandai. I would say Sazabi is one of most powerful mono-eye MS around in the Gundam universe though its timeline was during 'Char's Counterattack'. Well, the DX version is huge as you can see from the size comparison with MG Re-GZ. Came in a big box with window so consumers could see the actual toy.

Upon opening the box, you would most of the accessories came in parts on tree and required some trimming and assembling. The figure came quite detailed and you could see the insignia and fine markings. The set has all the weapons Sazabi needed from beam rifle, shield, fin funnel and either beam saber or axe to go on melee. DX Sazabi is also packed with features like the head could open and allows to clearer look at the cockpit and mono-eye, the backpack is removable and could accommodate the 3 fin funnels on each side of the tray.

In additional, the axe aka beam tomahawk, has a telescoping handle and could be attached to the shield. All the individual fin fannels are removable and open up. Last but not least, the thrusters on the shoulders are adjustable. A sturdy figure however articulation restricted due to those bulky parts. The fist could not open and unfortunately optional fist wasn't included.
