Macross Frontier Alto Saotome and SD VF-25 Armoured Messiah figures

Released during 25th anniversary of Macross and highly successful anime winning support of new fans. There are overflowing of Ranka and Sheryl figures been released but hardly any on the male protagonist Alto Saotome. Talk about sexist towards male in the world of anime. 

Sure took me a while to finally get a figure of Alto Saotome in S.M.S uniform and its a gashapon figure. All my Bandai chogokin valkyries from this anime series had turned yellow and I had sold them away. Guess my remaining valkyrie decent to accompany Alto is left with this super deformed VF-25 Armoured Messiah figure from Ichiban Kuji. Lolz

Macross Frontier - Valkyrie Mecha Girl - Ranka Lee Figure

This is my kind of mecha girl! Absolutely fabulous for Ranka Lee cosplays as a very specialized sort of angel with Valkyrie weapons and armor! I'm more of a Sheryl Nome's worshipper and what make me decided having this figure is those VF-25 gears, one of the most unique features of this girl figure. Figure was released by Banpresto as prize figure, it's non-scale and stands approximately 16cm. Ranka is still in her teen years, though she's more a loli, she still not shy putting on the tights and showing off her abdomen. The figure is not all perfect as some parts feel rather rubbery like gashapon and the antenna tends to bend and needs the hot water treatment. I also think that the diameter of the the base is kind of wide and occupies more space than necessary on display. 

Macross Frontier RVF-25 Messiah Luca Custom Chogokin (Flight Mode)

To be honest, the pricing of recent chogokin toy related to Macross Frontier had been steep and those so called refined 2nd edition and same valkyrie mold with anniversary prints are driving me nuts. Just could not continue and pace with my latest procurement only at VF-171 Nightmare Plus. Frankly, I could hardly call this a review but more of blogging on the humble collection of the first edition, 1/60 Macross Frontier RVF-25 Messiah Luca Custom Chogokin, with pics of the valkyrie in fighter mode. RVF-25 as the 'R' suggested, as a variable fighter for Reconnaissance. It's a property of S.M.S (Strategic Military Services) assigned to Luca Angelloni of Skull squad. Modification of this custom VF-25 would be the radar disk mounted on top of the messiah and the antenna that could be flipped down. The radar disk could also be rotated and extended for broadening. The head design of the RVF-25 was unique to the rest as the head looked insect and with the overall green colour scheme, the mecha took on the image of a grasshopper. As for the gimmicks, the cockpit could be opened, showing the miniature Luca pilot and the set came with super messiah parts which are attachments.
