Alien Baltan (バルタン星人) Collectibles

Bought both these Alien Baltan (バルタン星人) collectibles during last Tokyo trip … Figure is by Banpresto and I find the bottle really cool. Good display on my dining table. Ultraman DX Sofubi figure invader alien Baltan 2009 Banpresto, Approximately 10" height. The bottled drink was bought at the souvenir shop near Inagi-Naganuma station. I could not find it else where.

Shin Japan Heroes Universe Sofubi

Sofubi (Soft Vinyl Figurines) of Shin Japan Heroes Universe (SJHU) bought during last Japan trip … SJHU is an ongoing Japanese collaborative project between Toho, Khara, Tsuburaya Productions, and Toei. Developed by Hideaki Anno, it unites four of his critically-acclaimed IP such as Evangelion, Ultraman, Godzilla & Kamen Rider… Must have for me as they are too iconic and set the standard of Japan pop culture.

MA-NULTRA (Mario) vs KOOBALA (Bowser)

Fight for parfait! Have been looking for MA-NULTRA (Mario) vs KOOBALA (Bowser) by Bid Toys. When Mario becomes Ultraman & Bowser becomes Godzilla. So glad to have them battle it out finally even they are Bid Toys earlier releases and the quality control is lacking. They are pretty sought after so their pricing kind of increase over time. I definitely need them for for collection and display.

Incomplete Banpresto Ultraman Brothers

I'm still in a dilemma whether to sell this set but I think it's worth blogging them. Not too sure on their release date. Anyway, I checked the foot of Ultraman Taro and it says 2008. They are also the pride release of Banpresto as prize figures. 

They have seen better days and now that some silver painted had faded with the PVC emitting some weird smell. I done some cleaning and silver paint restoration to these old Ultra Brothers figurines. First I though I was only missing Father Ultra and Zoffy. I posted on Instagram to realised that Leo is not part Ultraman Brothers. Lolz.. My bad : )

Ultra Monster DX Belial Fusion Beast Chimeraberos Figure

The variants of Belial hasn't stop ... In the 16th episode 'The First Day of the End of the World' of Ultraman Geed TV series, Belial now possessed the ability of transformation into Kaiju(Monster). Chimeraberos is a Fusion Rise of Ultraman Belial, which accessed through the use of Five King and Zogu (Second Form)'s Monster Capsules. Not only that he had turned to the dark side but go as low as turning into a monster. 

Still it's always cool to have another piece of Belial figure and Chimeraberos was released in 2017 as the Ultra Monster DX toyline in the form of soft vinyl figure aka Sofvi figure in short. This figure is comparable to the 6" Ultra Hero Series. The upper torso of Belial remains faithful but now the evil Ultraman has a pair of red wings and Godzilla tail! The most sexy parts are those aurora shine pair of legs. Lolz...

SSSS.Gridman Sofvi Figure

Access Flash! Good thing that I have moved away from too much gaming after decided to live a healthier lifestyle, focus more on workout and hopefully transform from uncle to hunkle lolz. Don't be mistaken as I still gaming but at leisure pace and have more time to go back to anime watching and gunpla-ing. 

Pretty cool that manga /anime Ultraman and anime SSSS.Gridman had given Tokusatsu series a new direction, reaching out to younger fans and strengthening the franchise continuity. SSSS.Gridman is a well received anime in general. I especially like the opening song of the anime and how the anime paid tributes to the original Denkou Choujin Gridman.

There are a variety of SSSS.Gridman toys due to its popularity, however I particularly like the Sofvi (soft vinyl) SSSS.Gridman by Clover Fine. As I was holding the 7" figure, it doesn't feel like soft vinyl because the figure feels hard and heavy. Personally, I'm not familiar with the brand 'Clover Fine' nonetheless I'm impressed with the quality of this fully painted figure. I'm more into non-articulated figure and this definitely is perfect for my collection.
