Langrisser Leon Figure

It always excites me to know about new Langrisser merchandise… Of course this is my all time favourite best turn-based-strategy game after all. I first played this game on SEGA 16-Bit with the English title aka ‘War Song’. I was taken in by how the army charged & clashed. Langrisser eventually had a sequel (only in Japanese) with the same game play and offering alternate endings this time around. The games were later re-released as collector’s edition in PlayStation 1 format and I have to own it. I was fan of Langrisser Mobile as well. Such a pity, I no longer have the energy and mental focus on mobile games… Still blessed that the game finally has its own line of figurines in super deformed. I bought Leon the cavalry commander in Langrisser II by AForce… Let’s have a photo session of the figure with the game...

Metal Robot Knight Gundam

The Gundam in shining armor is here... You have seen it in SD Knight Gundam game and short anime series. Moving on, Bandai had made this character into a more proportional (Real Type) version as their Metal Robot (The Robot Spirits) toy line, similarly to a pre-painted 1/144 scale model kit. 

I have previously posted various Gundam Knight figurines by Banpresto but theylack the articulation and die-cast like this. Still, I didn't get this release as I wish it is bigger. I am hoping for at least in 1/100 scale instead. It would be perfect if Bandai introduced it in their 'Metal Build' toy line. You heard me Bandai... 

Anyway, it is just my personal opinion and liking because I am very fond my 'Real Type Cloth Knight Gundam' and one of that scale with today's toy technology would definitely add to my wish list. Last but not least I would like to thank my friend, Stanley, for lending this toy to me for photography and this simple review. Cheers : )

Sword Art Online SAO Heathcliff Chibi Figure

 

SAO Sword Art Online: Heathcliff - Leader of ‘Knights of the Blood’. He is like a tank class who wielded the collective one-handed sword and tower shield called Liberator. I love the character design of Heathcliff but it's a shame that SAO merchandises are overly emphasised on Kirito and all the girls surrounding him. I protest that there are too few of other supporting characters in this anime series made into figurines. Correct me if I'm wrong, this chibi version of Heathcliff is the only 3D figurine available. He's my precious ^_^

"Mystery Of The Emblem" Fire Emblem Heavy Knight Trading Figure

Castle under siege... Fire 🔥 Emblem aka "Monshou no Nazo" Japanese title is one of the earliest turn-based fantasy strategy games I played on console and heavy knights gave me a deep impression. I'm talking about the old NES version which I played as a kid. Here is my ‘Mystery of the Emblem’ trading figure by Yujin. Glad that I pick this mini figurine at the local hobby store. There is isn't a lot of information on this toyline and I believed it was released during early 2000. 

Heavily-armoured physical combat class is known as 'Heavy Infantry'. If I'm not too rusty, they are good tanker against physical attacks but seriously fragile against magical attacks.  They look cool all big and bulky but mobility isn't their forfeit. I particularly like this figure showing opposing knight battling on a stone bridge. It's a mini diorama basically. 

Panzer World Galient Tetsukyojin TV Version Action Figure

I have previously blogged about the movie version of Panzer World Galient Tetsukyojin and finally I managed to get the TV version. Like the movie version, this figure is also manufactured by CMS. Unfortunately, CMS had seized operation. The movie version has chogokin but this version is made  entirely all of plastic. 

The figure stands about 6" tall and comes with quite a number of accessories. Interchangeable parts so the sword can be switch from solid blade to a whip slash. I think this is a cool gimmick! The figure has a medieval design in sword and shield yet carries modern weapon such as the shoulder and hand cannons. There is an optional part like the small dagger pouch on the left leg as shown on pic. 

The figure can be transformed into flight mode and tank modes however it doesn't look cool so I decided not go into that. Besides, the joints are flimsy hence deterring the transforming and posing. The figure of Panzer World Galient is not easy to come by, therefore I'm still glad to have it.
