A true slice of 80s mecha gaming nostalgia. The vintage Super Dimension Fortress Macross cartridge (NMR-4500), developed by Namco and published by Bandai for the Nintendo Famicom in 1985.
This classic side-scrolling shooter lets players pilot the iconic VF-1 Valkyrie, battling waves of enemies while transforming between Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes.
Love how the bold pink cartridge label and pixel art perfectly capture the golden era of anime-inspired games. Pure retro Macross vibes. Do you remember love ❤️?

Linden’s Macross x Robita
Linden’s Macross x Robita = MacRobita sofubi from design works of 手塚治虫 (Osamu Tezuka). Tezuka, widely revered as the godfather of manga, needs little introduction—his influence spans generations, with iconic creations such as Astro Boy, Black Jack etc.
This licensed version, ©1982 Big West and ©Tezuka Productions, was released exclusively during Macross: The Art 1982-2018" exhibition exclusive. The exhibition was held at Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum. The design cleverly adopts Roy Focker’s VF-1S Valkyrie colorway, complete with a bold Skull Squadron insignia on the chest, blending Tezuka’s mythic universe with Macross’ iconic military aesthetics.
The form is strikingly minimalist—its cylindrical body and rounded helmet-like head give it an almost utilitarian silhouette. At a glance, it amusingly resembles an insecticide spray can or a small trash bin, which only adds to its quirky charm. The simplicity of the sculpt allows the concept and crossover references to shine rather than overwhelm.
Because of this clean, graphic presentation, I’ve chosen to keep it unopened—the figure feels most complete displayed with its original card header, where the bold yellow Tezuka branding and retro typography elevate it into a proper art object rather than just a standalone toy. A subtle yet clever crossover piece that rewards fans of Tezuka, Macross, and sofubi culture, proving that sometimes restraint in design speaks louder than complexity.

Macross Max VF-1J Sofubi
Takatoku had produced in smaller quantities of soft vinyl sofubi of battroid figure such as this TV version, Maximilian Jenius VF-1J. This type of non-transformable approximately 1/100 scale, Macross sofubi is so hard to come by these days and the pricing can be exorbitant if available. Just glad to at least obtain this sought after piece.

Macross Gun-Pod GU-11 By IMAI
My most legit 1/20 scale Macross Gun-Pod GU-11 by IMAI. Not too sure if IMAI is still in business but I know they made awesome Macross Gun-Pod. Supposedly a model kit but the weapon was already fully assembled and function once out from the box. Just need to apply the stickers and set up the card board targets. I got it shipped from oversea and was at first afraid that custom here would reject it under strict gun act here. Good thing it came all well and nice without delay.

Custom Painted Macross VF-1S Resin Kit (E2046)
Custom painted Macross / Robotech VF-1S resin model kit. Nice workmanship especially the shading done by a local Carouseller. If I’m not wrong, the resin kit is a recast by E2046. I used to have the Toynami figure with similar pose to this but any custom painted is always unique in its own way. I'm using the Macross helmet as a background to pay tributes to Roy Fockker!

Robotech 30th Anniversary Super Deformed VF-1A Ben Dixon Figure
Doesn’t matter if you are a Macross or Robotech fan... We want you! Super Deformed VF-1A Ben Dickson figure, standing 3", is from a blind box series released by Toynami during Robotech 30th Anniversary. I only get one box to test my luck and obviously my fortune is Ben Dixon aka Kakizaki. Lolz... Super Deformed VF-1A Ben Dixon figure is now my latest companion to Super Deformed VF-1S Roy Focker. I had drawn some panel lines to the figure to add some details. The thing I like about this figure is that the super deformed was not overdone and the green visor on the head has that glass look.
Here is the product description: Protecting Earth from alien conquest has never been more adorable than with these Robotech 30th Anniversary Super Deformed Series 1.5 Mini-Figures, each standing 2 to 3-inches tall. There are 6 different characters from the anime series Robotech featured in the line, including Pilot Max Sterling, VF-1J (Rick Hunter), VF-1A (Ben Dixon), VF-1J (Max Sterling), Battlepod - Stealth, and Destroid Tomahawk - Marine.

Macross GN-U-DOU Action Figures
Posing with Gundam Universe action figure
Macross GN-U-DOU, VF-1S and VF-1J action figures come from a niche line by Yamato. Probably a line nearing to the end of Yamato's exit from the toy arena. Considering myself lucky to be still able to find these non transformable action figures, after some many years later, on local sale apps "Carousel".
They are about 5" and come with alternative hands and display base. The hands will switch them over to either TV or movie appearances. The clear base had shown signs of yellowing after years of storage and the green paint on the visors had also smudged. IMHO, I find these more playable than the Revoltech figures mainly for the size and also not worrying on breaking the joints.
