Valkyria Chronicles has a place in my heart, having played the game and watched the anime. For that, having a Japanese Boxset of this military-themed tactical role-playing video game in my collection is a definite. Honestly, I played the game on English version and getting this boxset is mainly for collection.
Beside the game, the boxset comes with appendix such as a picture book, trading figure of the protagonist 'Alicia' and the iconic tank 'Edelweiss'.... All neatly packed in a premium box with excellent boxart. Kudos SEGA!
As you can see, the main feature of this post is the Edelweiss tank! It's rare to get a pre-paint Edelweiss toy therefore this toy is one of the reasons why I wanted this boxset. Although this is just a miniature tank, it certainly didn't lack details and even comes with motorised function. Very neatly painted with minimum flaws (paint bumps). The insignias and fine parts are well defined on close-up shots. However, the toy is very fragile, hence extra cautions when handling the flag, turret and side armour platings on the tank.
Next is the trading figure of female protagonist 'Alicia'. Again, there are a lot of details on the figure but the main issue is that the figure failed to deliver an accurate face sculpt of the character despite the realistic paint application on the uniform as well as the rifle butt.

That’s a really nice boxset of a videogame and anime franchise of which I have not heard so far and well, nowadays, I hardly play videogames since, fortunately, my work duties demand a good deal of my time... However, even without this background, the collectibles you’re publishing are quite appealing and very well made, obviously the military theme is what I like the most, but I love the colorful design of the tank and the main character, as well as the rest of the freebies included with this set... You even got a mini-diorama for the pictures, congrats pal!...
This game is already at its 4th sequel. I didn’t follow up so this remain my best.. lolz... Now spending more time a home on indoor photography... Use of diorama comes handy then...
Yes, the face sculpt is a bit off...
The tank is cool but the figure is a let down...
