Singapore Science Centre MacDonald’s restaurant is closing on 22 Mar 2020 after serving us for decades. An unusual restaurant that showcase Happy Meal Toys in retro fashion. Certainly a part of our childhood memories. I managed to take some time to revisit this unique restaurant where past Happy Meal Toys are displayed in acrylic casing.
This restaurant also has a few life-sized MacDonald’s characters as part of their decorations. Some of those memorable Happy Meal Toys that accompanied my growing up years include the Chinese New Year releases, Happy Meal transforming robots, Mr Kiasu figurines and Power Rangers. The one that stands out the most certainly is the gadget releases whereby the different gadgets combined to form Inspector Gadget. Thank you Singapore Science Centre MacDonald's restaurant. We will miss you...

This is a pretty nostalgic publication and by what you mentioned about this place, the memories it brings back, I’m pretty sure it was meaningful for you pal and others in Singapore... We don’t have a place like that in my homeland or in my hometown and currently, due to the sanitary measures to "control" the COVID-19, this is precisely the kind of places you cannot visit, because we are about to enter a sort of quarantine for at least a month...
You are right bro.. Best to stay home this period. Good thing I went of an off peak period so I hope it reduces the risk. Stay safe and take everyone : )
This is really sad to hear its closure. I don't know it has cabinets showcasing past year happy meal toys. Otherwise, I will bring my kids to visit it. Alamak!! I miss the place.
I hope read this post can give you a bit of comfort. Sometimes inevitable that certain things will go down memory lane..
