RoboCop Movie Maniacs Action Figure - McFarlane Toys

Dead or Alive, you are coming with me! The first RoboCop movie is undoubtedly my favourite movie! Man! I love movies directed by Paul Verhoeven and that includes 'Starship Troopers'. With both movies iconic music score by Basil Poledouris. Salute to both gentlemen who makes these two movie a pop culture!

I totally loved the design of RoboCop and McFarlane Toys did an excellent job in making the figure under their Movie Maniac series 7. The figure is approximately 8" and comes with diorama base. Nice sculpt especially on the jaw and lip of Alex Murphy played by Peter Weller. The figure is well chromed with slight blue shades. There are many details on the figure with fine engravings like OCP (Omni Consumer Products) on its head and legs.

McFarlane Toys is famous for making figure to movie accuracy but not really the articulation and joint strength. My figure had a broken elbow joint, but like they say, nothing can't be fixed by Kragle. No obstacle is going to deter me from getting Robocop in his iconic shooting pose.

Congrats pal for this haul!... Actually this is a great piece from a very corrosive movie (I mean, corrosive because of its criticism about society, through the lens of a dystopian near future), Paul Verhoeven made it on purpose and while his point was not quite understood, it became, as you rightly pointed, an icon of pop culture... I was really surprised to see this sort of "action-statue" with little articulation, because nowadays it’s genuinely hard to find and expensive, even in this side of the world... I still have a few of these collectibles made by MacFarlane toys and I agree with you: their quality in terms of sculpt, level of detail and paint job is outstanding, even more, with a reasonable price tag (not so low currently, but at least you can justify what you are spending on them)... Maybe we need some Robocops in this crooked world, HEHEHE!...

Tributes to retro sci-fi movies. I had drive and pick up this figure from a fellow collector cos he let go at a good price. Actually, the NECA version has also received good reviews.

I have no doubt about the awesome paint work by Mcfarlane toys.

Mcfarlane pioneered in statues and translated their great paint work to figurines though articulations maybe lacking.
