Dragon Ball DBZ Grandista Resolution of Soldiers Bardock / Barduck Custom Painted

Original on the left and custom painted on the right

The custom painted has an overall matte surface therefore removing the plastic gloss surface of PVC and ABS

More panel lines and darken shadings on the custom painted to better define the muscle tones as well as the wrinkled portions of the battle suit

Close-up on the original figure

The panel lines on custom paint even shows those minor scratches on the suit for realism and gives a very manga feel to it

The face-off looks like a mirror image...

There used to be so few figures of Bardock but when Banpresto decided to focus on Bardock, they are damn serious about it! Dragon Ball Z Gandista line from Banpresto is quickly becoming a fan favourite with its incredible value for its size and figure styling. Bardock, the biological father of leading Dragon Ball hero, Kakarot, better known as Goku! As you known many DBZ characters take the name of food and Bardock is no different. Bardock takes the name of vegetable 'Burdock' root commonly used for soup. His eldest son Raditz takes another root vegetable Radish and Kakarot meaning carrot! Gosh!

This colossal 11" prize figure (28cm) comes with incredible detail from the rips in his muscles to the wrinkles in his boots. Minor assembly of 2 parts and has a clip on stand that further stabilises the figure. Basely the figure can hold up on its own. An interest trend in Japan of custom painting DBZ figure and being a big Bardock fan, I seized the opportunity to get both the original as well as the custom painted by modeller. The figure featured Bardock standing and holding his close friend Tora's blood-soaked armband in his hand, with a face sculpt showing his determination to avenge his dead comrades.

The custom painted has an overall matte surface therefore removing the plastic gloss surface of PVC and ABS. More panel lines and darken shadings on the custom painted to better define the muscle tones as well as the wrinkled portions of the battle suit. The panel lines on custom paint even shows those minor scratches on the suit for realism and gives a very manga feel to it.
