CharaExpo 2015 Part 1 - Idols & Icons

I would say CharaExpo Committee had done an excellence job on the publicity of CharaExpo from seeing the adverts on public buses to Sistic  and Lateno ticket sales. It is my first CharaExpo experience and I had a good time and wished I had stayed around longer.

A dose of Moe stepping inside CharaExpo 2015. I had noticed quite a number of Japanese booth promotors at the event. One which I first encountered were these pair promoting Magical Suite PRISM NANA and kawaii des with the uniform cosplay they worn.

I can't wait to watch the 2nd season of ARS NOVA for more mental module marine warfare and my wife would surely want more of WUG! Wake Up Girls! The reboot of Heroic Legend of Arslan is definitely in my watch-list as I love knight fantasy genre.

Grand Doraemon booth with statues of the your favourite childhood icon which many posed and took picture and selfie with. There was also statues of Doraemon's friends on the other corner with backdrop for picture taking.

Man! Crayon Shin-Chan is already celebrating its 25th anniversary with 2015 movie 'My Moving Story! Cactus Large Attack!' The late original manga artist of Crayon Shin-Chan, Mr Yoshito Usui, would be pleased that the franchise is still going strong.

Bushiroad is a main player in CharaExpo 2015 and Card Game Arena occupied a substantial floor area at the hall. Card competition like 'Card Fight Vanguard', 'Weiss Schwarz' and 'Future Card Buddy Fight 100' are growing trends among the new generation. CharaExpo 2015 provided the opportunity for Cardfight enthusiasts to test their skills and interaction with like-minded folks.

I'm more of a mecha guy and was astonished to know that anime idols had been so very popular nowadays. Merchandises related to anime like 'Love Live!, 'Idol Master' and 'Milky Holmes' were selling hotcakes. Well, I do like watching  'Milky Holmes' for the humour.

A very Akihabara atmosphere with Moe and Kawaii-ness ... Real life idol group AKB48 booth promoting picture cards. I'm not shy to admit that I do collect cards of my idol back then. It's part of growing up. I must say the sale idols' cards and merchandises are a lot more established these days.

definitely Singapore is full of interesting events, much, much more than the few available in my country and hence, i’m pretty sure it must be a key place to invest for the wide market of the anime culture from Japan !!!... i have not seen anything from the Crayon Shin-Chan franchise until now, it must be a quite funny character and i would love to have that big statue of him, featuring the "Ultraman-ish" costume, albeit i have no space to display it... ;(((((

In the past, most of the happening events were launched near to the end of the year. This is the first time CharaExpo came mid year which is great as we all could connect our shelves to this otaku-ness without having to wait sooo long. With other events of close proximity this June / July, the period of festives mood is in the air. Ha!Ha! I have forgotten to mention Crayon Shin-Chan's Ultraman-rish costume. No need to bring the big statue home, some smaller merchandises for memories are good though : )))

You know I was totally unaware on this event! So does it mean the publicity is bad? LOL

Ha! Ha! You have a case there.. I knew about the event first hand from bus adv. I did promote the event on my blog previously as well before Latendo promote the ticket sale with early bird discount.
