Bought this kit for the purpose of customizing it with Akocreation GM garage kit so this is a review straight from snap fit. Master Grade version of the RX-78-2 as it appeared in the PS2 "Mobile Suit Gundam: The One Year War" game. There are more details on the plastic surface for panel lining. RX-78-2 is given a more modern design just that the colour scheme seems pale.
The catch of this kit is the superbly flexible inner frame (skeleton) over which allows the Gundam to bend and pose in just about any position you might imagine, especially those difficult kneeling poses. Due to the focus on articulation, the torso frame is different from the MG version 2.0, as such there isn't any core fighter.
The kit come with a full range of RX-78-2 weapons, Beam Rifle, Hyper Bazooka, Gundam Hammer, Two Beam Sabers, one uniquely bent beam saber. Also fine printed dry-transfer decals allow you to add exterior markings with precision. An unpainted pilot figure of Amuro Ray included as well.

You are right..the color scheme is more to paster color type..doesn't look nice..
Nothing beats the true blue, white & red ^_^
compared with the RX-78 2 version Ka, this kit has a huge improvement in the articulation !!!... but the pale color scheme doesn’t make it any favor in what has to do with the visual impact...
nonetheless, if you’re planning to do a customization with extra parts, i guess it will have an improvement in its appearance and i will be waiting for the outcome !!!... =)
The articulations are indeed impressive. There is another version that's closer to anime version colour. I use this kit for customization so it matter little. Currently, MG Gundam RX-78-2 has reached version 3.0
