Toys & Manga @ West Coast Plaza Field Report

AZ Comics are focus on solely manga from sales to renting one and read them at a cosy area outside their shop.

Took my family to West Coast Plaza on the 3rd day of Lunar New Year period because there is an indoor kids' playground, where we could deposit our kiddos for an hour and find a tranquil cafe, where my in-laws could enjoy their nice cup of tea. Formerly known as Ginza Plaza, West Coast Plaza to my surprise has quite a few shops for Otakus. I guess there is a substantial cluster of of Japanese residing there and a Japanese school nearby.

At West Coast Plaza, it was really a bonus I bought a box of cute little GM figurines for the novelty @ this shop call 'Sakuraya'. This shop also has some cool toys ranging from Macross Frontier kits, Evangelion, Battleship Yamato, One Piece, K-On and etc.... There are two other shops selling manga. Comic Realms do sells trading figures and the ones that caught my attention were FW Gundam Standart and Gundam Converge! As for AZ Comics, they are focus on solely manga from sales to renting one and read them at a cosy area outside their shop.

Nice intro bro. Didn't know a place like that is around. I'll surely check it out one of these days.

looks like a nice trip, with your family and relatives, everything that involves food (and toys) looks always good for me LOLOLOLOLOLOL... there are a few stores like those you are mentioning here in my hometown, nice places to visit, good assortment of collectibles from both sides of the world, but the prices are not so friendly if you know what i mean... =/

The day I had the chance to drive my brother-in-law's car so my family members were play especially, all were involved in doing the things they like. These goodies came as a special to me rather than just being the driver of the day. Bought the GM as a reward for myself. There's always a lot of spending going out as a family and staying in Singapore makes it worst. At least my family members were happy and we do it occasionally.

Yup, the mini Zaku squad was adorable too! Was told by a friend that these sets were a bundle selling at Gundam Cafe Japan. I'm flying there so to see it for myself.

I so wish I would have that luck of finding at least on Otaku shop in my Mall. Suncoast (videos) does have some stuff, but not to this magnitude.

Even though there is no otaku shop near your place. I always saw your post of good manga and toy looted at your town. Sometime life is surprising with amazing find.
