Metal Material Model Strike Gundam GAT-X105

This is the last few Gundam Chogokins before Bandai decided to conceal the metal beneath plastic to start the toyline of GFF (Gundam Fix Figuration) metal composite. The change is probably due to complaints of exposed metal carbonized and brittle metal joints.

This Metal Material Model Strike Gundam GAT-X105 is presented in a typical Gundam Chogokin artwork with naval blue background, leaving a small window in-front for collectors to take a glimpse of the head sculpt and metal exo-skeleton. Weapons and armor parts are arrangement neatly on the plastic blister inserts, so you will need some time and effort to complete the Gundam. Not to worry cos the parts snapped nicely and won't dropped easily even when you moved the joints.

The set has got all the basic armaments the Strike Gundam needs from beam rifle, beam sabers, shield as well as those foldable daggers that can be stored at the side pockets. Beam sabers on the hand, can be fixed to the Aile Pack- AQM/E-X01. With these accessories, Strike Gundam is now Aile Strike Gundam with mobility in the air! There's a lot of metal so you can rest assured that your investment worthwhile. In fact the value this premium Chogokin Strike Gundam had appreciated in terms of market value. The scale of the toy is near 1/100, approximately 9" and stand steadily. Articulation are limited after the armour were donned, however there shouldn't be much problem posing simple stances.

The fix configuration is good for collection because of the diecast.

Just that the recent GFF Metal Composite pricing are way off the budget of mine.

this is a great, great figure !!! not only for the increase of its value over the time, but for the quality in details and finishing... i guess it’s still part of your collection... =O

Indeed, the quality is there. There's also another supplement set to change Strike to Sword and Launcher type so stay tuned to future posting. Unfortunately, I had gave up this set and replaced it with a HG 1/100 Strike Aile. Thought of selling off more of my collection to a reasonable size and save up for home improvement fund.

I like the design of the head till torso. To me, the colour of the bottom part of the figure is a little plain..Anyway, the figure looks good :)

Strike adopt that simple and safe design concept close to the RX-78-2 and even follow the basic colour of red blue & white. It's make it easier for fans to accept. Strike does possessed its uniqueness which it stands out from other Gundam.

I only remember having the 'Turn A Gundam. Never know they had others from this series.

They really added some weight to them with the metal parts and I actually liked them better due to that.

Yup, there was 'Turn-A', followed by this and then the Impulse Gundam before all were conversed to GFF metal composite.
