Gundam AGE-2 Dark Hound - Gage-ing Builder Series

Long lost Missing-In-Action AGE-2 received a total makeover to a darker and unique space pirate style. Specializing in hand-to-hand combat and stealth mode provides low visibility to enemies as Dark Hound as the mobile suit remains as quiet as a ghost in space. The unit is piloted by the leader of the Space Pirates Bisidian, Captain Ash. In the anime, Dark Hound is fully transformable to flight mode, so is the Master Grade kit.

Gage-ing Builder Series is more simplified hence the action figure is unable to transform. Nevertheless, the great thing about the figure is that it come pre-painted and ready for play straight out from box. 1/100 scale (approximately 19cm) and action figure gave great feel of play. The two grappling hooks that look like Captain Hook, can be mounted in the shoulder binders or hand held, and beam lancer rifle.

Like other Gaging Builder series, the parts like the body, arm and legs are replaceable to mix-and-match to make you ultimate combination. I like the original form but kiddos would think other wise. AGE card of the MS included in the set. Bandai had smartly conceal the screws of the figure to the inner side and rear. The lance rifle of the figure is made less sharp for child's safety.

1/100 Genoace RGE-B790 Gaging Builder

A mass production mobile suit of the Earth Federation Forces organized in response to the appearance of UE. It was practically useless when it was first featured in the anime Mobile suit Gundam Age. Still, I kind of like this full visor head design. The overall design take shape of an American football player. 1/100 scale (approximately 19cm) and action figure gave great feel of play plus accessories like beam spray gun, shield and unique dagger. Few mobile suits go without front skirting, and Genoace happened to be similar to a Federation MS Jegan. Like other Gaging Builder series, the parts like the body, arm and legs are replaceable to mix-and-match to make you ultimate combination. I like the original form but kiddos would think other wise. AGE card of the MS included in the set.

Gage-ing Builder Series Gundam AGE-1 Titus G-Wear

Just like what was shown on the anime, Gage-ing is able to recreate the scenes of modifying Gundam AGE-1 Normal to a more bare knuckle unit with cool attachments aka Titus G-Wear. In fact, the Gage-ing Builder Series Gundam AGE-1 Titus G-Wear came as 2 appendix sets, upper and lower limbs. Gundam AGE-1 Titus reminded me a lot of 'Maxter Gundam' from 'G Gundam', instead of boxer, Gundam AGE-1 Titus resemble more of close combat wrestler, hmm Street Fighter Zangief. Just that Gundam AGE-1 Titus is a lot more bulkier like the Hulk Buster version of Gundam. physical attacks. The Titus was developed to demonstrate overwhelming combat power that combines offense and defense. Those holes on the Titus G-Wear shoulders and knees are equipped with a number of beam blade emitters. The effect can't be shown here unless you get the MG Kit with effect parts. Drawback of this toy is again the obvious screws and no optional open-fist. It will look better with some panel lining.

1/100 Gage-ing Builder Gundam Age-1 Normal

Gundam Age television series was aired around the period when Unicorn Gundam OVA was released. Gundam Age kind of got beaten down. However IMHO, this under-rated anime had plot that kept audiences going although it started slow paced. At least, I understand this anime stretched over 3-pilot-generations better 'G Reconguista'.

Ultimately, Gundam Age aimed to nurture young audience to liking Gundam hence Bandai introduced 1/100 scale figure of the main suit, Gundam AGE-1. The AGE-1 normal be disassembled allowing you to swap legs and arms with other suits from the Gage-ing Builder series. It also comes with its signature shield, beam rifle, and a Gage-ing card. It's kinda nice if you don't mind having too many visible screws and lacked of proportionality.

After all, it's for playing and be treated like an action figure. Bandai Namco added more entertainment with BG (Gage-ing Builder), which carry 'Gage-ing Chip' circuitry which, when scanned by the Gage-ing Link system, allow models and figures alike to compete on the same field. Using devices like the free-play Gage-ing Battle Base kiosk, planned for installation at arcades and selective hobby shops. Mainly for domestic market. I only saw them locally at Gunpla Expo and Toy'R'Us when the toy line was newly launched.

Gundam Adele RGE-G1100 Gage-ing Builder Action Figure

Here's a 1/100 scale Adele figure of the one of the suits from Gundam anime 'Gundam AGE'. Where many called it a flop. IMHO, I find Gundam-AGE franchise better that 'G Reconguista'. I would presumed that Gundam AGE target audiences are mainly children to close the age gap fans for Gundam franchise to continue as Japan's top mecha icon. The toy is therefore made with the concept of fun and robust.

The Adele is mass production grunt unit derived from Gundam-AGE I during the arc of Gundam-AGE lI, without the G system. that of the AGE-1 Normal. Adele's enrollment replace the older RGE-B890 Genoace II. I see a lot of Gundam-AGE I Gage-ing Builder action figure on shelves previously and it seems fewer Adele were produced. Like I had mentioned previously on G-EXES Gage-ing Builder action figure, those exposed screws on the toy would turn off most who like Gunpla.

Anyway, this is the only Adele in 1/100 scale and its chance of MG or RE treatment is very slim, perhaps zero percent. One of the gimmicks is that some parts like the arms and lower torso can be disassembled allowing you to swap with other suits from the Gage-ing Builder series with the use of concaving and bulging joints, since they universally matched. Just like in the anime, Adele was shown switching parts to Titus and Sparrow configurations. The figure has 15 points of articulation with basic armament like DODS beam rifle and shield.

Bandai had aimed to incorporate electronic technology to the toy as domestically in Japan, the launched of this toy series allows free play with Gage-ing Battle Base in arcades. The Gage-ing mark on the core, arms and lower torso would determine the stats of the toy displayed on the Gage-ing machines aka Battle Base. I saw these machines at one point of time, locally @ Toy'R'Us stores and Gundam event booth. The game play was pretty similar to Digimon or Animal Kaiser.
