Code Geass Robot Spirit Lancelot & SD Lancelot

My favourite mecha unit in Code Geass is definitely the protagonist Knightmare Frame 'Lancelot' piloted by Suzaku Kururugi. The basic unit has a clean design befitting a knight. The design is pretty awkward with the pilot cockpit protruding at the rear. The unit has wheels on the foot for additional speed like rollerblading.

Lancelot uses VARIS rifle at long range and 2 Maser Vibration Swords for melee. An extra and  unique armament are the Slash Harkens on hip to swing and hook. For defence, it forearms are mounted with energy shields. I bought both Code Geass Robot Spirit Lancelot and SD Lancelot to pose them the same.

That’s a lovely mecha design despite its apparent simplicity and quite clean color scheme!... As you said, the pilot plug looks awkward and a bit too bulky, which doesn’t seem a problem in a scaled down model, but would be a serious weight and balance issue in a theoretical life size unit... I guess sometimes mecha designers take some "extreme" licenses in terms of feasibility for their models, when it adds some spectacularity!...

At first, I like the anime plot more than the mecha design. I eventually take a liking on the Knightmare Frame with elements, EVA, Gundam and Votom in one design. The Lancelot especially carrying those knightly and majestic vibes.
