Bubblegum Crisis Priss Figure - Atelier Sai

Let's revisit this mecha anime pioneering female heroines and yeah who won't like mecha gals! Bubblegum Crisis feature a team of female mercenaries known as 'Night Sabers' in futuristic Tokyo, armed with unique power armour suits aka hard-suit, assisting the incompetent Police department in  the fight against mutate AI entities (Genom).

Thanx to YouTube, I'm able to watch these classic OVAs and get myself hooked to the merchandise. That isn't many toys on the anime and I kind of paid a hefty price for this figure of the main protagonist, Priss. It's easier to get the version by Yamato that comes with the motorcycle (Motoslave) however I particularly like this version by 'Atelier Sai'. The figure stands 6" tall and trust me, it really can hold up on its own despite the tiny high heeled footing (With cautious posing of course).

As you can see from the clear window packaging, the toy comes with optional hands (from normal to blasting arms) and head of Priss without the helmet. Personally, I prefer with the helmet on. The base stand provided a nostalgic feel with the Japanese anime title printed in-front and  'Night Sabers' on top. The gloss paint on the figure is pretty remarkable though the paint isn't very even and neat on close-up. The design of the hard-suit is simply way too cool!

I was not aware of such a pioneer anime series, but with the brief introduction to the plot you included, I find it enticing (despite the kind of deceiving title it received for the English version!... I like the figure, it looks like something made in the 90s o maybe in early 00s, the overall design of the hard-suit is very neat and the color scheme somewhat feminine; it’s the first time I hear about the Atelier Sai brand, but I think it’s in a similar league of CM’s and it includes a good deal of accessories... By the way, it’s me or the helmet is more rounded than the original design in the anime, particularly in the front?...

Bro, the armor suit is very unique with shining blue and matte gray. It also combines with pink and white deco. The helmet design is very nice too!

>> Chrismandesign - The English title is a bit weird nevertheless it's still cool to be exposed to good anime that stood against the test of time. The mecha and hard suit design is impressive and Atelier Sai makes good figure that is highly sought after.

>> Desmond - The paint job manages to bring out the best of how the hard-suit is presented in the anime. Glad you like the design and helmet visor is a safe choice in design just like Boba Fett in Star Wars...
