Hmmm ... Wise decision they switch the colours...
I'm not too sure if it's design inconsistancy due the early days of Toei's Dragonball Z production, nonetheless Vegeta had a brief appearance in reddish-brown hair and a completely different green and brownish colouring for his Saiyan combat suit, in the original anime. I would believe that the flash back colour could be due to the environment of alien planet. Up to your imagination, this colour scheme has somehow becomes many favourites to exclusive release. I'm fortunate to get this very unique and custom figure of Vegeta from 2 different DBZ Scultures Zoukei Tenkaichi Budoukai. I got it from a Carouseller that goes by the nick 'Walk in a Park' and IMHO, this figure is brilliantly done for the fact that he had to cut the parts, attach them seamless and paint the whole figure. That takes time and effort bro! Kudos!

I was about to say: ‘wwrrrrrrrrong color scheme!’, before you mentioned the fact that this Vegeta belongs to the first Dragon Ball anime series (not the Z version)... And then I made the connection with a gashapon in my collection that manages to display a more accurate color scheme regarding the TV colors, which are very bright, almost fluorescent... Yours looks darker, but as you said, there is a lot of work into disassemble the figure, repaint it with nice weathering effects and then assemble it again!...
Hehe.. the colours were painted dull to tone down the effect and probably look more realistic. The strike green and orange is mistake to start with in the anime. Maybe twice the mistakes will make it right. Lol...
Bro, very seldom see this outfit color..great buy!!
Yeah! This is the one and only.. it’s custom made. Yahoo : )
