Toys Scouting in Hong Kong

Overseas holiday again after my recent Japan Tokyo trip and next stop, Hong Kong. My hotel was situated near the outskirts, at 'New Territories', Tsuen Wan and I'm lucky to find a decent hobby toy store known as 'Wonderland' (click link for more pics) near my hotel. There I got Pokémon model kits and an adorable Squirtle Moncolle figure. I should have gotten the Gundam water gun as I didn't have another chance going back there again.

Since it's a family trip and I could only spent a day shopping for toys. Without doubt the destination would be Mongkok. My favourite is definitely Mongkok Richmond Shopping Arcade (click link for more pics) - 3 levels + basement selling toys. My personal favourite for trading/prize figures especially Dragonball. Model kit, resin and chogokin. It's there I got my only loots at Mongkok. I got myself a pre-painted 'Five Star Stories' L.E.D Mirage resin and Bandai Tamashii HG dead Yamucha Dragonball Z figure. It can be a bit tricky to find Richmond Shopping Arcade.

The easiest hobby toy shopping building to spot in Mongkok, definitely is CTMA (click link for more pics). Stores like Sen-Ti-Nel and Kids Logic provided cool display. You see more of newer and recent released toys. Shopping at Mongkok can be more pleasant if it's less crowded on the streets, the cigarettes smell and more public toilets. More of the toilets were locked and only manned for shop owners having the key.

In's Point (click link for more pics) has a good variety of western, anime and mecha toys. Good place for toys like Star Wars and WWE figurines as well. Most of the hobby toy shops operate pretty late like almost 2pm and some open as late as 6pm till 9pm.

Yan On Building (click link for more pics) is least interesting to my as it's more like an army market with mainly gun replicas and lots of military stuffs. There's a Gunpla store with a good display, Enterbay store is there which I didn't enter as I'm not into 12". There are a few shops selling Tamiya cars as well as die-cast cars. In's Point is pretty awesome too and somehow noticed that most of the building catered on 3 levels for hobby toy shops.
