Robot Spirit Damashii ARX-7 Arbalest Figure Full Metal Panic!

Bandai sure know how to satisfy the craving of mecha who wants the action and not the assembling of model kits. Though the scale ain't really big. The Damashii or call it Tamashii meaning 'Spirit' stand at average height if a 1/144 Gunpla, rather 12cm. It's a cool released on this under-rated mecha anime 'Full Metal Panic!'. In this anime, the robot are termed as Arm-Slave and Arbalest is the most up-to-date piloted by the male protagonist, Sousuke Sagara.

Packaging is typical of Robot Spirit Damashii, in slim and space saving box with clear window showing most of the accessories. Bandai is generous with an assortment of accessories from anti-tank dagger, monocular cutter, shotgun, optional hand parts, extra face with knife on its mouth and Lambda drive parts.

I would say the sculpt of the figure is sharp, not to inform that some yellow paints were inconsistent. Nevertheless the figure is relatively decent for a reasonable price. Definitely a cool release for the fun factor and action pose capability. No problem from bending to kneeling position. Even the shotgun has gimmick like moveable pump slide that moved back and forth and adjustable recoil shoulder rest.

i’m not pretty sure, but i think i have seen something related with this anime series, but it was years ago and i don’t remember very well the plot... on the other hand, the mecha design of this figure is familiar for me (that’s why i think i have seen it =P)... i have seen some figures of this line, in hobby stores of my hometown, but strangely, figures from the S.H. Figuarts line are rather rare... i don’t understand why, since both are made by Bandai ???... =/

by the way, this rubbery Arbalest looks pretty fine for my taste !!!... =D

Nice purchase, sold my FMP stuff a couple of years ago, wasn't really fitting into my collection. Had this, a Savage and a Bonta-kun. Nevertheless, a nice mecha from a nice anime.

I guess you were exposed to a bit of the anime in the past. Then again the anime had been around for a while. Good to rewatch as the anime is really cool with good balance of humor and action. I find the scale of robot tamashi a bit small. But I do like the articulation for quite the few decent poses. This release is pretty hard to get through.

Bonta-Kun is adorable. I put my FMP! Stuff in a display case together with my other Muv-Luv stuff. They made up my mecha stuff other then Gundam.. Anyway, I had just sold this figure off cos I managed to get the model kit of Arbalest close to Gundam MG size.

Is this a die-cast figure?

This is made of PVC & ABS... Regrettably, I didn't get the Metal Build Leviathein previously.
