Play Imaginative @ STGCC 2012

Play Imaginative are known better for bringing cute collectibles however at STGCC 2012, Play Imaginative exclusively brought in and preview the 'Super Alloy 1/6 scale Batman' by Jim Lee. Personally, I find some similarities between this version of Batman to Ironman. Anyway, it comes with a gargoyle display base with stone finish and embedded magnet so the Batman could steady pose with the magnet feet lock. Beside 'Super Alloy 1/6 scale Batman', Play Imaginative also surprised us with 'Super Alloy 1/6 scale Ironman Mark VII'

Play Imaginative had also showcase their main toyline, which included figures of SpongeBob Squarepants and Happy Tree Friends, Disney. There are also designer toys like TO-FU, Devilrobots, Evirobl, Julius and Trexi figures with design beyond imagination.

Funny to see Jim Lee doing a figure as I haven't heard much from him.

I don't see alot of these in the US market as they are not collected that much (Walt Disney & Happy Tree Friends). For the love of god, please destroy Sponge Bob - that laugh is just annoying as hell - please?

i love this kind of stuff (specially the almost autist Bob LOLOLOLOL) if only they were more affordable =(... also the Art of James Lee is one of my favorites (after Moebius, Serpieri and Travis Charest, for instance...) but i’m pretty sure those 1/6 figures are by far above my budget... =/

1/6 is very popular these days and probably that the reason many would want a pie in the market. I believed Disney figures are evergreen. For Happy Tree Friends, they are pretty funny to watch sometime back (Adorable but the cartoon ain't suitable for kiddos).

SpongeBob is either you love or hate him. Chris pal just love them Ha! Ha! As an artist yourself, you sure know a lot of Jim Lee's previous work. 1/6 is definitely on the higher side in terms of pricing for the details. The 'Super Alloy Batman' is priced at S$350/-

I only like the light up diorama case to store iron man figures. The diecast mark 7 is not my cup of tea.

The diorama case sure take up some spaces. I guess Ironman Mark 8 from infinity to beyond will continue.
