I'm trying to create a more holistic coverage of STGCC 2012, encompassing designer toys which were mass-produced, while some handmade and really niche. It's for those who appreciate art, in pursuant of passion. Among these designer toys were those expressed in sweet eye-candy-looking stuffs or in the form of resin, vinyl or plush. Two of which that caught my attention were those 1/6 scale concept figures on Urban Six by Nicholas Quah and those retro style looking figures by Max Toys. A little different from mainstream toys for a change of taste?

which designer toys do you like the most?
I'm casting my vote for Nicholas' Quah Urban Six Concept figures. Especially the one with the pistol head.
not only the toys themselves but the stuff related are great !!! those t-shirts and posters are uhmmmm YUMI !!!... there are some specialized stores here with reasonable prices for this kind of toys, but as you, most of my collection items are ordered... maybe if we were supporting our local stores a bit more, the offer would be better... =)
I'm not so much of guy who goes for design toys nevertheless, I find them cute and some unique. I started collecting toys by buying from departmental store and toy shops. Still do now, less often unless on good discount or sale. Only in recent years, if I wanted toys badly and urgently, I would turned to online. Most of the time, shipping sucks and I paid for the price of desperation and impatience. I think I like fleamarket best for surprises and bargains. Ha! Ha!
Bro..u were focus sia....
Seems like I'm so focused that I was going crossed eyes. Ha! Ha! This is embarrassing! The last pic is just for laugh...
I don't always get Designer Toys as they usually are so darn cosplay. But when I can (like O-No Sushi), I gettem.
I guess designer toys that are exotic in design would catch more attention and something when we don't buy them at convention like this, it would hard to come by again. O-No Sushi is pretty cute and funny!
