Lt Hikaru Ichijo of Skull Squadron reporting for flight duty with a salute! From CMS Macross Character Figure Volume 1 released back in 2008, this highly sought Hikaru fixed pose figure in his flight suit, came with the pilot helmet.
Great sharp sculpt and neat paint job by CMS. Even in fixed pose, there are still some creative changes like having Hikaru pose holding onto the helmet on his hand or without the helmet. Hikaru's head can also be removed with optional parts to either having the face shown or with his helmet donned. The visor was nicely made so you could still the facial of Hikaru even with the helmet on.
The design of the flight suit is the movie version 'Do You Remember Love', which I especially like the helmet. first volume set, featured as a Trading Figure (Japanese blind-box figure) was released back in 2009. A complete set is a 5 plus 1 secret figure (Minmay China doll). Each figure stands approximately 4.7" (11 cm) in height, with white base and stand.

Cool figure, really like the saluting pose and how the helemt can be postioned.
yep, it’s a very nice figure and the suit looks more modern and fancy than usual, the paint job is still good for the scale but the detail and sculpt is better... i have a reference for the quality of these CMS figures from a set of Patlabor and is great !!! =)

Indeed, I this from the lot as I feel that this is the best figure and very seldom we see Hikaru like this.

It's incredible how the Japanese fascinate the near future through anime. Concepts like pilot suit and plugsuit added with plenty of styles.
About CMS, I also only took notice of the company when they started making Patlabor, Macross and Mospeada toys recent years back.
poor Hikaru having to hold his hand in that position forever :(
You don't see him too much as a figure and the helmet is a great addition for this figure.
Once a valkyrie pilot, always a valkyrie pilot. Hee! Hee! Yup! Hikaru in flight suit is harder to come by. There's the 12" by Toynami which I have yet to review. Most toy companies now just think about doing figures of female characters even in mecha animes. Market is flooded with Ranka and Sheryl. For Gundam, it's Lunamaria and Lacus...
The helmet on is a cool feature!
I think Yamato did produced an actual 1/1 scale helmet like this. I didn't buy due to the price and no where to display it. The design of the helmet is totally mind blowing.
Yes Dennis..the quality of CMS product is very good..
Bro, do you happen to have any of CMS product? So far, I'm quite pleased with their stuff. Recently, they have go slow on new toys.
