Some have never seen this and many ain't familiar with this Gundam. Gundam Airmaster was featured in Gundam X series, as a sidekick. Gundam X series produced in 1996 is like an anime rest on the seabed ....soo.... quiet or unpopular these days that it's almost forgotten. I remember lending this anime to a friend some years back when he questioned me after watching half the series, on why Gundam don't fight in space anymore. Well, that's becos the anime don't have any engagement in space until the final battle. So much for the anime series...
This 1/144 scale Gundam Air-Master is an old kit which was probably produced before the discovery HG technology. However, this doesn't mean it's a lousy kit, in fact not at all. It's transformable between robot and plane without haste, relatively nimble (A ball and socket system allows movement in the limbs and torso) and no issue on balancing (good weigh distribution). It comes molded in 4 colors, so painting is minimal. Just some paint works will do the trick. The touch-up isn't done by me but the previous owner.

The kit doesn't look too shabby when it is in the fighter mode.
Gundam X is quite decent series which is easily one of my favorite AU series. I wish Bandai will release MG lineup for this series in the fture since i really look forward for X Divider to get one.
I like the way it can be transformed. Gundam X don't interest that much as I prefer the U.C timeline. Lately, Bandai did release the HG Gundam X so there might be hope for MG if the kit sells well.
I like the Gundam X series. The Gundam X was one mean machine possessing the firepower to destroy a moon on its on. The Gundam Airmaster was quite cool as well. Anyway the Gundam X anime series was aired in 1996 instead of 1979. XD
We have another Gundam X support here. Thanx a lot bro for the correction. Got this cos I like the outlook of Gundam Airmaster.
Simple transformation and color theme. Cannot believe this Gundam is a sidekick.
Even though Gundam Airmaster conquered the pull of gravity. His firepower is no match to the leading Gundam X on solar.
seriously this is a rarity, at least for a rookie in the Gundam’s matters like me... this Gundam reminds me a bit of the Endless Waltz designs... i think it looks great in both modes... the detail is quite good for a vintage kit... as for the paint job (which is not yours)... well, no comments LOL =)
I don't think you're so rookie about Gundam bro. To a certain extend, the transformation is close to Gundam Wing.
First time to see Gundam in transformation..New to me!!
Sometime, looking back at toys from the past can be refreshing. Hee! Hee!
Kind of looks like they were trying to crash on Macross with the transforming plane.
I have seen the Gundam X only in passing and it not that known here.
Becos of the love I have for Macross valkyrie, I guess it's nature to also like other robot transforming plane. Man! I'm very much the Macross & Gundam Guy. Hee! Hee!
Personally i love the Gundam X series! and as for the old NGs, i quite liked them due to their mobility as compared to the new 1/144 FGs as they have equivalent price range. I really do hope they produce all the Gundam X line in the HG series.
It's after this post then I realized actually Gundam X still has an important placing in more Gundam fans. I hope Big 'B' can hear wishing from you guys. Good to hear from you again bro!
