Patlabor Command Car - Special Control Vehicle Type 98

"Ingram!" This is a Mattel Hot Wheels CharaWheels Special Control Vehicle Type-98, the command cars used to coordinate with police labors in the classic anime Patlabor. Special Control Vehicle Type 98 or Ingram Command vehicle is essential during the mobilisation of Patlabor Ingrams' operation. Control Vehicle is usually deployed along side with Ingram to provide information on the changing terrain and if needed to issue special instructions to the Ingram pilot. Therefore, Special Control Vehicle Type 98 is usually taken charged by the Ingram pilot's immediate superior officer.

In my opinion, the metal die-cast Special Control Vehicle Type 98 is very rare and is already out of production. I don't think you can find this mint in card 'Hot Wheels' toy car in your local department stores.

For such a rare item, there is a Chinese saying "Got money also cannot buy".
If Life were an RPG game, you'll have to unlock this item by performing 20 consecutive 'N' shifts on 1/8 zone...

This anime is one of the few mecha- related anime which I enjoyed other than the Gundam series. Really like the mecha design and plot...

I hard to come by and it kind to look nice still on the card. So I let it remain in the blister. I have other version of command car that's loose and would post it in the near future.

An unlikely combination of Mattel & Bandai isn't it. I have another command car from trading box and that I would like to take pics of it with the Ingram.

I did made a search on the internet and found pics of Hotwheels Mask Riders & Ultraman vehicles. They seems to be catered for Japan market but looks really surprising and exclusive.

I think with some luck, the item could still be gotten from eBay or sites like Rakuten or Mandarke. Man, Performing 20 consecutive 'N' shifts on 1/8 zone is too........... SIONG!

>> Gundam Gunso
I made Patlabor part of my collection cos I too like the plot and especially the mecha. Recently got to know that the designer of Ingram is also the one who design the Jegan.

Bro, I'm equally impressed with your Hotwheels 'Back to the Future' car you blogged about recently. That rang a bell to take pics of this command car. I guess it's hard to open the toy when the packaging is some nice.

That is so not fair, I am sure that Mattel would never have that little baby here in the US for us to grab :(

I'm sure Mattel Hotwheels have some exclusive cater to the huge US market just like the 'Back to the Future' car which look awesome and really collectible.

I will do some man! I simply like the artwork on the packaging.

It's not Japanese collector only. Toy collection also factor in the determination and contact. It's fate...Hee! Hee!

Hahaha...that's right Dennis Senpai...But it is difficult or we should say it's to rare to find it...
Maybe Only Fate can let us collect it...and yes, I believe in Fate...
