My Collection

These are pictures of my toys that I have took in year 2006. These toys sure lifted my spirit whenever I admire they in my study room. Both my wife and I have come to a consensus that my toy display should be inside the study room but my display cabinet is now overcrowded! I am always plotting to expand the toy territory. Ha! Ha!

There's some updates of my room in 2009....

Woah! Those are some collection you have there.

How's the feel being an Otaku dad? Nice? or Awesome? I'm quite sure you will cosplay your daughter.

Hi,

I love your site. And after seeing your collection, I show my wife and told her I don't have a buying problem. Anyway, would you like to do a link/blogroll exchange with http://www.openhappy.com. I will need to have a 200xXX banner (or I can create one for you). My banner is at http://www.openhappy.com/images/banners/ Please email me richard at openhappy dot com. Thx!

Cheers,
- Richard.

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

Sure! We could have a link exchange! Thank you for the positive comment.

Great to hear from you bro! Thank you for the compliment and it's my honor to have you visit my blog again. Life is still simple and consistent for me. It's still working and during free time, watching anime, gaming, playing with kids and looking out for toys. Hee! Hee!

Your overseas training is pretty long my friend. Your company must have invested in you a lot. Ha! Ha!

Hanging there bro and I await your return to fixing Gunpla and blogging. Cheers! Stay cheerful always and may you and your family members stay in the pink of health.

uhmmm... absolutely fascinating collection, congratulations... i’m fan collector as well, from Colombia (too far from u, i guess) there is a lot of bucks there !!! XD... i’ll appreciate if u visit my blog, http://chrismandesign.blogspot.com/ (obviously my collection is not as huge as urs) just 4 fun... cheers from a distant colleague, hahahahaha...

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

It's thrill to know another fan collector. The pleasure is mine. I will pop by your blog.

chrismandesign said...

As i can see, the more u r near from Japan the more fans collectors u find and more stuff available... it’s amazing !!! i dunno, but i begin to suspect that i’m one of the serious collector in my country (at least in my city, hahahahaha...) but i’m so far from u or from others in figures quantity concerns... anyway, i’m so satisfied with my collection (and my colleagues/friends also...=). Congratulations again, not only ur figures, but the way u show’em r so detailed and careful, that’s the way it should be (i’m learning some tips from ur blog...) so come & visit my blog whenever u want (i’ll do the same...)

Singapore is just a tiny dot on the world map so it's relatively easy for us to travel to shops selling toys catered for anime fans.

Japanese animes has penetrated my country years back and influenced young Singaporeans. This Jap culture wins huge support, so comes the demand and importers find it lucrative to bring anime-related-stuff.

chrismandesign said...

absolutely in agreement with u... here, in the other side of the world, anime & manga cult grow fast, mixed with comic cult... indeed, i become a fan of collection figures with comic stuff, but even comic is influenced by anime/manga styles... the problem is that i have 2 pay more in shipping & other taxes (because i live in sudamerica) so i have to do a great effort 2 get them; the mayority of my stuff is gotten by order (or preorder) & is only available by internet... i have some Super Robot Wars, Evangelion, Patlabor, Armored Core, Gundam, Keroro & others model kits, waiting 2 b assembled...

Hi,

I want to ask how you create those custom link with image on the right-hand side of your blog. I want to do that for my blog too.

Thanks in advance.

G.G.

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

I'm using Blogger so it easier that I use the default customized layout and use 'add gadget' to add pic and linked up those other sites. As for the ads, I register with 'nuffnang' and 'Google', get the html then cut and paste.

can i just come to your study room to play!!! waaaa so many i wish i can have such cabinets!!! i should collect monet to make cabinets instead of buying more and more gunplassssss haha=p

They are indeed my priceless collection build up over the years. A display showcase will make toy looks even better and it's worth the investment.

Looking at this page sure is inspiring and can foresee one of our future room will look like your study room! It's really awesome and sure brings up spirits (and gives us more reasons to increase our collection)!! Keep it up!! Fantastic!

It's really a blessing that both you and your boyfriend share this common interest and I'm very happy for you. I'm also working on some MG kits since my new job allows me more time. I sincerely hope your future home with your boyfriend will spring with toys and Gunpla. Thank you for your support.

Hi there,

I happened to come across your blog whilst doing some search for information about the Devil Gundam haha.

Its nice to see that Gunpla does not stop even when one is a dad and has a family.

I used to live in Singapore and have build a couple of gundams myself but now I am in the UK and it is very difficult to source for gundams here.

Even so, I have ordered gunpla from my japanese and china friends who will post them to me.

I have my own blog which I have just started and its here:

elv-gunpla.blogspot.com

hope to see more of your collection in future :)

Hi Dennis

I always want to collect Macross figures.

DO have you any advise or places where i can go to find good ones ?

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

Hi Hann, my Macross stuffs are mainly preordered from Falcon's Hangar. Apart from checking local stores at CSC, I would sometimes check HJL, eBay and Macross World for toys to pay. I hope this is helpful.

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

Hi Elvin,
Thank you for visiting my blog. I really respect the passion of collectors overseas on their perseverance thou Gunpla might not come easy at places they stay at. Glad to learn that you started a blog on toys.

Great page and better collection.
Question for you. I don't see any voltron in your collection. I'm desperately looking for a mini lionbot and was wondering if you have any suggestions? No luck in the states.

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

Thank you visiting my blog and I guess you got here while searching for Voltron. Very sorry that I know little of Voltron apart from those released by Toynami previous. There were others recent Voltron toys due to the English cartoon. Apologies again for not much of a help.

Wow! That's really cool... I'm starting my collection few months ago. Hope to have this also. :)

Can I ask where can I find cheap side cutter or any alternative cutter because I lost mine.

Thanks in advance.

Apologies for replying so very late. There was period I neglected checking comment and at times comments overlapped. For budget cutter, can get $2 cutter from Daiso but I strongly recommend using Tamiya. It' really smooth and myth says its uses material manned for samurai sword ^_^

>> yop
My apologies for replying so late. Glad that you have your own beloved collection. Unfortunately, I don't have any source for macross toys spare parts. Perhaps can get damaged, loose or boot leg for replacement parts. dismantling and reasembling chunky monkey shouldn't be too difficult : )
