I don't play the game however I like some of the character designs especially the element of fantasy and medieval. Rathalos happened to possessed that knighty look. More like a dragon knight in fury red armour. In fact, the figure can even transform to dragon form. Sorry, I didn't transform it in this review, partly I'm lazy and secondary reason I don't wish to scratch the paint or break any limb as the toy don't belongs to me. Thanx Stanley for passing over the toy to me for review. Really nice having a feel of the toy, especially when its die-cast aka chogokin. The fully armour Rathalos at some degree even looks like a mecha.

That’s a quite impressive figure, but much more when you realize that actually it has diecast construction !!!... The level of detail in the sculpt is insane, the color scheme is very intricate and it’s what you can expect from a premium collectible like this !!!... I agree with you that, more than an armor, it looks like a mecha and I think that in the real life, it would be just too heavy, even for someone corpulent and hence impractical in combat... I would say that the only serious drawback of this delicious figure, is the price factor and that’s why Chogokins hardly are part of my "shopping cart"... ;(
This toy looks awesome especially its colour scheme and overall look. I think the dragon form is even more fierce :)

I would agree the details of this chogokin makes the money paid worthwhile with gimmicks to thrill the fans of the game. The die-cast are mainly on the legs and the best part is the metallic paint finish gives the impression of whole lot of die-cast. I didn't go for this as I had set my budget for Macross and Gundam chogokin stuffs.

The colour follows quite closely to the game I think just that this chogokin has more shine. I have seen review of this toy in dragon form, still I prefer the it in knight.
