Yamato 1/48 VF-1A Jungle Camouflage

Front view of box ~ Didn't bring my camera along so had used the camera phone instead.

Valkyrie on the tray

I'm fly the plane

Front view of valkyrie in battroid mode
Well camouflaged doesn't it

Back view of valkyrie in battroid mode

Jason had helped Mr K bought another Yamato 1/48 VF-1A jungle camouflage version last Sunday at CSC and thereafter we visited Mr K's home to pass him this. As usual, Mr K's toys don't stay in the box and we all get to play the VF-1A. What a shame! Jason and I can't even transform this toy properly. That's probably because we always keep our toys MISB. Mr K is the man! Toys are manned to be played with!

Acrylic stands

Three pieces of acrylic stands

The support come from only the sides thus the strength has been compromised

A new arrangment

I can have more things on display now! Hee! Hee!

The namecard of the seller

Oh! I don't know the seller and I don't earn commission!

Got these acrylic stands @ CSC two weeks ago, after Little Plastic Man posted about creating more space in his display cabinet. Bought the set of 3 pieces acrylic stand for S$25/- which Jason thinks that I'm wasting my money.

Jason thinks that I could just use plastic boxes from Ferrero Rocher chocolate. It is a good suggestion as well I think as long as it aids to save some space. Anyway, the acrylic stands proofed itself worthy but I should have bought the other one that cost S$35/-. Because that more expensive one comes in a whole piece like a step which gives it more strength so it could hold heavier toys.

风云 Feng Yun: Storm Riders DVD

Front cover for Code 3 DVD

Rear cover for Code 3 DVD ~ Mandarin & Cantonese dialogue with Chinese/English subtitles

Front cover for Code 1 DVD

Rear cover for Code 1 DVD ~ English dubbed however there were many scenes that were cut in the U.S release

Take a look at the discs ~ Top code 3 & bottom code 1

Pardon me for the little knowledge I have for Feng Yun aka Storm Riders comic as I am mainly exposed to very much the movies and TV series. I collect both code 3 and code 1 DVD cos both the DVD covers are attractive. It is especially difficult to find the code 1.

Have watched the movie several times but each time I watched the movie, I feel that the movie is well shot and 3G was quite good for a Hong Kong movie made almost ten years back. I would say this is a classic Hong Kong comic turned movie. News of the movie part 2 would be out soon and I don't think I will miss that.

Feng Yun/ Storm Riders evolves mainly on two important characters namely Wind (Feng) & Cloud (Yun). So I have bought both Wind and Cloud figurines and put them on display in my living room.

Goto's Police Vehicle

The rear view of vehicle ~ Don't have registration plate number

The side view of vehicle

Bought this Captain Goto's Police car from a local buyer on Ebay. I already have the Special Command Vehicle Type 98 and this will further boost my Patlabor collection. This toy is about the same size of Matchbox cars however there isn't any metal diecast. The manufacturer is CMS and this car is manned to supplement the CMS Chogokin Ingram.

The Cathay

'The Cathay'

Astons restaurant

Just came back from movie and dining at 'The Cathay'. Almost late for the movie as the bus I boarded got stuck in a traffic congestion from Steven Road to Orchard Rd. I had to alight the bus at Heeren and ran to 'The Cathay' to meet my best friend. Guess what movie I watched? It's 'Ip Man' again! This time, I had switched off my handphone to make sure I won't be disturbed.

After the movie, Terence had recommended we dine at 'Aston' located a level four of 'The Cathay'. Terence told me the food there are delicious and prices are reasonable. We had to queue before entering and the restaurant was consistently filled with patrons.

Terence had ordered the black pepper steak and I ordered lamb loin chop. The serving was sufficient and the food really taste great.

Ip Man

One of best movies watched this year!

Solid movie not to be missed!

Watch this movie in the morning of Christmas Eve with one of my colleagues. Most of my colleagues had watched the movie and all had given positive comments of this movie even before I watched. Even a female Malay from my department gave this movie a two thumbs up. As for the colleague who watch the movie with me, it was his second time watching the movie.

Ip Man really live up to the standard with the kungfu action well chronographed. Donnie Yen is just cool even he leave his cloths on. this time This is a movie about pride and honor which you need to watch to believe.

I was distracted when watching the movie with numerous sms and calls related to work and I have even missed out the last 5 mins of the movie. Left with cinema with a sense of emptiness and I have promised myself that I would definitely watch the movie again be it at cinema or DVD.

Yokoyama Sangokushi Gasaphon

In Yokoyama Sangokushi, Xiang Lan is the lover and wife of Liu Bei - I assumed she played the role of Lady Gan

I'm a fan of the much unknown Yokoyama Sangokushi and having the anime related stuff is a bonus. While searching for toys of Yokoyama Sangokushi character, I found this set of gasaphon (4+1 Special) from Ebay that's of a good price. Each of this gasaphon come in several pieces that required easy snap fitting. The gasaphon looks really exquisite presented in diorama style and I like seeing these warriors in their battle gears especially those riding the horses. It's a pity that Special figure is Xiang Lan instead of Lu Bu.

Merry Christmas 2008

A pic I took recently @ Parkway Parade

I am going to my workplace soon to spend my Christmas Eve and Christmas countdown with my colleagues. They are important people in my life and as we face each other most of the time. I sometime think that I spend more time with my colleagues than with my family. My job very much depend on these loving colleagues and I wish to them a Merry Christmas.

Not forgetting my dearest family members, friends and whoever visit my blog. You guys are wonderful people who form beautiful memories in my life.

Only having the Toynami Shadow Alpha Fighter but not the CMS version. Having seen the CMS version been displayed at 'Toys N Toys' China Square, I still feel that Toynami did a better job in terms of plastic quality and packaging. Recently, Falcon's Hangar is collating preorder for Beta fighter Vol 1 & 2 but I have made too many preorders with FH already. Giving up Beta fighters or else I will be heavily indebt once the shipments come.
