Toy Shops Gathered at Havelock II Shopping Mall

If you are wondering where did most of those pop culture toy shops, previously at Central Square had moved to, look no where else but Havelock II, located at 2 Havelock Road,Singapore 059763. Everything starts from a humble beginnings just like Clark Quay and China Square Central once were. Havelock II has the potential to bloom to a more vibrant shopping mall with spacious walkway and clean toilets. More and more toy shops are moving at Havelock II as the refurbished mall is conveniently located near Chinatown MRT (Downtown MRT Line) and Clarke Quay MRT (North East MRT Line). You can take sheltered link bridges from Chinatown Point and passing through Furama Hotel. 

I'm hoping someone would persuade the management to start toy flea market at Havelock II on Sunday in future. Apart from shopping there, I have also gathered with other toy collectors for a booth during the Chinese New Year period to enjoy the festive atmosphere and hoping for a prosperous year ahead. If you are a toy collector from overseas hunting for toys, do play there a visit and for local collectors, come more often to continue our support! Long live toy collection! Ichiban : )

Patlabor : MG Master Grade 1/35 Scale TYPE J-9 Griffon Flight Type Labor

Got this to complete my MG Master Grade 1/35 scale model kit. In fact, this is just a variant of J-9 Griffon Aqua Type. The difference is only on the backpack. Griffon is a prototype secretly produced by Shinohara Industry opposing company, Shaft Enterprise to outperform the existing Ingram. Needless to say, Griffon is far more devilish charismatic and technologically superior during the confrontation. One thing I like about the kit is the gross coated surface which means very little is needed to be done after straight build. I have put more effort into this kit by painting the hydraulic. This model is a Master Grade version of the Griffon Flight type featuring an extremely high gloss coated plastic to replicate the Griffon's spectacular appearance. 

This model features an internal mechanical skeleton for armor parts to mount onto. Multiple hands allow for expressive poses. Wingspan of its flight pack measures almost 20" (50cm) at full extension. The huge and heavy flight backpack unit does comes with setback too, the center of gravity caused the knees to bend backwards. There is no armed weapon for Griffon, needless to say, it's sharp claws and speed are Griffon's deadliest weapons. 

Like the MG Patlabor series, the joints are very stiff. Griffin uses rubber tubing to fabric the cloth effect. IMHO, it's good application just that the rubber kind of hinder the movement. The kit comes with unpainted figures of Griffin's project in charge 'Richard Wong' in standing pose and Griffin pilot 'Bud Renard Harchand' in sitting pose. I have used CMS trading figure of 'Bud' as a prop to go with my MG Griffin. As the name suggested 'Bud Renard Harchand' can be a pain in the "bud" in the anime. Talented in piloting for a 12-year-old but lousy and hack care attitude treating the project as though playing game.

Melty Blood EX Summer Beach Arcueid Brunestud Figure

Melty Blood (メルティブラッド Meruti Buraddo), is a visual novel and 2D fighting game on Playstation 2. Melty Blood Act Cadenza Ver.B arcade fighting game by Ecole / Type Moon released on Naomi in December 2006. Arcueid Brunestud is the White Princess of the True Ancestors. The title of Brunestud was given to those True Ancestors capable of manifesting the Millennium Castle Brunestud, and has been likened to be the vampire royal family. 

Melty Blood EX Summer Beach Arcueid Brunestud, 1/8 scale 7.5" (18cm) in height in her red hot Melty Blood bikini summer beach by SEGA game prize, released in April 2008. Some small details Arcueid has with her includes the arm bangle, painted nails and locker tag. We get to see her fair skin and vampire red eyes. Figure may not be of the best quality however the base is well made with diorama of the sea wave ripples and sand on the beach.
