NG 1/100 Buster Gundam GAT-X103

Time sure flies to think that Gundam Seed has been around more than a decade and to think some of the Gundam scenes still lays fresh in memory. This Non Grade 1/100 scale Buster Gundam has a strong sentiment value as it was gift from Guy 'A', beside Buster Gundam being one of my favourite Gundam for its unique un-Gundam design and its heavy artillery long range cannon. Even though it was NG, this 1/100 scale Buster still has the cut to be posed its signature firing posture, fairly remarkable for kit released more than a decade ago.

Guy 'A' had already did most of the painting and his trial gun metal colour on thrusters pack. I remembered him telling me he mixed all sort of materials he believed would achieve the effect. Commendable effort there and I'm honour to follow up with adding more decals before the final top coat. Buster Gundam is a walking arsenal equipped with powerful impulse rifle, gun launcher, joined together to form large cannon that can be configured in different ways and hatches that open to reveal shoulder missile pods. I like having a figure of the pilot standing the robot on display, so I bought Gashapon of Dearka Elthman.

Yeah, this is a cool gimmick. I do like the badass weapon and unique beige color of Buster Gundam as a whole.

the Buster Gundam is a favorite design for me too... the strategic use of military green and red, gives it the right feeling... at first sight, i thought it was a PVC figure, despite you published the box cover of the kit and the pilot in gashapon helped a lot in that sense, HEHE... the other mobile suit (grey, blue and light orange) in the last group picture, which i guess is from the same series, has a great mecha design as well... Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny are good sources of cutting edge Gundams !!!... =D

Great minds think alike as all of us like the same Gundam. That will include Guy 'A' as well. The first owner of this kit. Thanx again...

I always would try to get a figure who the pilot of the mecha to compliment and relate to the robot better.

Gundam Seed to one Gundam anime series that my wife accompanied me watching. It meant a lot and goes to show that the storyline draws viewer who didn't have Gundam background. The mecha designs were innovative and quite a breakdown after Gundam Wing's Big Bang across the continents : )
