Aldnoah Zero KG-6 Sleipnir Variable Action Figure

After watching season one of Aldnoah Zero, it change me perception of mecha anime. It's hard to achieve intelligent plot with good balance of action scenes. No many mecha anime have reach the standard this anime. The storyboard was concise and pacing was right to set audience to the motion with suspense that stirred up interest at the end of every episode.

The most intriguing part of Aldnoah Zero is the use of battle strategies used by protagonist Inaho Kaizuka, making use of terrains and law of physics. Simply stunning to see the male protagonist, Inaho Kaizuka, using the grossly inferior, outdated training model KG-6 Sleipnir as his personal unit, against insanely powerful Martian robots powered by Aldnoah Drive. Goes to say, earthlings defense units are Aldnoah Zero like sitting ducks.

I was so thrilled at the time when 'Megahouse' made this "Heaven's Fall" announcent that they are making this action figure of Inaho's unit, codename 'Mustang-22' and therefore 'Mustang-00'. I didn't hesitate to preorder from AmiAmi and I'm glad I did so, as I later realised there wasn't any shops that bring in this toy locally. Nothing fanciful about the package as its a typical box with see through window revealing the figure as well as those large folded up stable wing of the characteristic leg. Those wings are really the major gimmick as they unfold to three forms of mobility from standby, running to hovering mode.

The orange colour originally differential the unit as a training unit however Inaho later decided the unit to remain its flashy colour as a trademark. Somehow, I find the orange on the toy a bit pale. Nonetheless the figure is well articulated and very playable. Since the feet of the mecha are designed small, the actual toy tends to fall backwards due the weight of the backpack. The set comes with a bonus base stand where it helps displaying the figure especially in hovering mode. There is an extra pair of weapon griping hands. Pretty basic armaments Like the sub-machine gun with attachable grenade launcher and knife as melee weapon.

i noticed some interesting elements in these bits of the series you have published... definitely great mecha design, i like much more this squary shape, than the rather too rounded and too fat shape of the enemy units (which reminds me the Qubeley, one of my less favorite units)...

on the other hand, i don’t know you, pal, but i don’t care too much about packagings (since i don’t collect them, but what they contain) and precisely this is the kind of figure i could easily love, because of its sharp details and despite its pale color scheme, the design stands out with a quality representation...

great finding, pal !!!... =D

Glad that u find the series interesting. Though those cannon fodder ain't strong, each battle was rather tactical. The Martian invaders have more rounded and bulky units however the UN units look all alike. I like Slephir 6 for its colour and those Gundam eyes. The wing spans on the legs are pretty unique in my opinion. Awesome anime not to be missed.

I always try to feature other mecha beside Gundam. There are really many other good mecha anime. Conditioning to only Gundam narrow our spectrum.

It's true that the feets are on the smaller side. It's a good thing Megahouse tackled the problem with flexible joints as shown on the pic.

Totally agree with the awesomeness of anime. The infamous Orange is many fav in the anime. Kotobukiya is making the kit of Orange and recently saw prototype which suggested like Megahouse or Kotobukiya gotten make Slaine's unit.
