I started playing basketball in my teen but stopping after my secondary school days when my progress come to standstill. When I finally returned to the basketball court, the players there had called me "Uncle you want to join us for a game." Nevertheless, the passion still burns strong in the heart, casting aside victory or defeat but simply enjoying the game.
Continuing on basketball anime after 'Slamdunk' is 'Dear Boys'. An anime that brings back fond memories of the days I started taking up the sport to the time me and my friends formed our team 'FORCE'. Sadly, I had mistakenly passed the ball to an opponent during my frist match playing for my school and since then condemn to waterboy. That's embarrassing. Lol....
Plot of Dear Boys: Aikawa, the cheerful and talkative former captain of a high school champion basketball team, was transferred to Mizuho High. There, he met Fujiwara, the attitude captain and three other members who were still dwelling in a terrible incident, which caused the school basketball team to be at the verge of collapsing. See how these ‘Dear Boys’ put themselves up again with burning desire to return to basketball arena.

I read one episode only..Have you finish the entire series??
Surprisingly, I have never heard of this series before. But looks a lot like Slam Dunk.
But I was never into any sport related animes.. I gave Gaint Killing a try when it was showing at the same time as the World Cup series, but it didn't hold my interest. I guess I like anime that has fighting in it like Naruto..Gundam...etc. I am a twisted guy. LOL
i was not that bad in basketball but it wasn’t precisely my favorite sport... sports anime, uhmmmm not my liking, i can’t find them interesting, even bearing in mind that they hav an story behind the characters... but i see that u like a lot basketball & that explains all =)
