Diamond Mega Knight is a purchase tribute to Toy Pizza 🍕host Jesse, Nicky and Jack who take everyone on a tour-de-force blitzkrieg of all plastic… They are considered some of the pioneers on YouTube channel producing videos related to toy collection and indie toys. Some of the toys featured by them became my wishlist! Even though they have gone slow these days, It’s still cool for me to revisit their past video once in a while…
Toy Pizza had produced many of their own toys as well (mainly Glyos® or 3.75”) and Knights of the Slice should be iconically their mascot. Why so because they were featured previously at Wonder Festival Japan. I referring to the 1000 Toys x Toy Pizza Knights of the Slice articulated figures that were also sold at Super Festival and Five Points Festival… I personally prefer bigger toys that why I settled for this vinyl 8” Mega Knight that is close to a Sofubi toy…
In my opinion, the design of Mega Knight is like a beefed up, muscular version of Knights of the Slice with strong influences of lucha libre wrestlers known as luchadores… As for the choice of colors, definitely wife’s pick as she likes Tiffany 😅 Pizza 🍕 out!
