WIP Respraying MG Chrome Zeta Gundam

My next Gunpla project is to help Jason respray his 20th Anniversary chrome edition MG Zeta. Produced in 1998, this kit had succumbed to the test of time with its chrome fading off slowing. It's going to be a long journey having to disassemble, spray & reassemble it again. I'm seriously not good with model kits hence the confidence level remains low. However as a gratitude to Jason for his constant help and support, I will try my best to revive this poor kit.

i too suffer these damages from my toys from the early 90s.
ie: those chrome parts on power ranger zords.
a very sad case indeed..

I kind of remember there's quite a lot of chrome on Power Ranger Zoids. I have times when Gundam turned yellowing as well. Sad toy stories but there's always a new beginning.

The shape the unit is in, must be just after the final scene in Zeta where Camile whacked Paptimus Scirocco. I'm sure u would do it nicely. Restoration works are tough but when successful is truly satisfying esp a kit like this vintage deserves the attention! Btw this is alfred here

Somehow I with try to avoid kits that come in chrome but I do have Gundam toys with lotz of chrome especially my Shining & God Gundam. If Gundam kits, they come chrome or clear whenever anniversary or special limited edition so they tends to have a good value.

The pleasure is mine to see you commenting bro! Now I have another supporter. Hee! Hee! The condition does look very battle damaged. Now, I'm the repairman in the hangar. Lol...You are right about the satisfaction when I finished a Gunpla project.
