This is a 1/60 scale VF1D that is MISB. I guess Yamato is the first toy company to have transformable VF1D. Why is it call VF1D? I don't know. But Mr K came out with this theory that because this machine is double seater so the creator name it VF1D = Double. What a brilliant formulation! You're the man Mr K! Maybe it's VF-1Dennis. Ha! Ha!
If you have watched the animation, this machine was introduced in the first few episodes when Hikaru accidentally piloted it during Zentradi invasion. Actually this machine is more for training purposes as it can accommodate both the trainer and trainee pilot at the same time.
