Batman V Superman - Dawn of Justice

Catchy title of both iconic superheroes from D.C comic facing off. Yeah! I can tell from the cape! So much on stating the obvious. Check out the parody video attached. Dawn of Justice suggesting the soon unfolding of Justice League. The roles are well-casted especially Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne. As expected, the plot is more serious, darker and escalation of events with just a little corny moment when Wonder Woman finally showed up in the fight. It seems that Wonder Woman would later have her own movie as her identity and came-about still remains rather mysterious. Before watching the movie, I had also took some pics of exhibits displayed at Bugis Plus in promotion of the movie. Life-sized statues of the three Super friends and merchandises, exhibited by 'Action City' and 'G&B Comic'.

1/10 Scale Hoshino Fumina Figure - Gundam Build Fighters

Hoshino Fumina is on my A-list for the fact that she uses GM Cardigan when taking part 'Gundam Build Fighters' tournament. Kid-friendly Gundam spin-off Gundam Build Fighters has honored its cute sporty heroine, Hoshino Fumina with a 16cm (1/10 scale) figure courtesy of MegaHouse, introduced as 'Gundam Girls Generation'. Actually not so kid-friendly when this tomboyish Seiho Academy student, wore her sexy sport bra and tights while Fumina showed off her incredible rear view through this non-posable figure. Reminds me of the popular anime catch phase "Isn't it good to be young.". Just look that Fumina's healthy and well toned abs. I wonder if this is Bandai's strategy of sex sell, well I bought it without hesitation anyway. I find the pricing a bit on the high side but I'm pleased with the fine facial sculpt and fine skin tone in overall. So glad I took her out for an outdoor photo shoot.

Super Robot Vifam Porcelain Sculpture

The nostalgic Galactic Drifter Vifam Super Robot Vifam in porcelain sculpture is a niche piece with very few circulating in the market. I personally chose this over the action figure, primarily for the sleeker appearance. It's like a kai version of the original Vifam. The original and anime appearance would look more blocky and bulky like an astronaut suit. Kaiyodo had launched an unpainted cold-cast of the actual sculpt and later moved on to this fix-posed, completed, painted figure as part of the Hayami Hitoshi Super Robot series in year 1999. Back then, it is common that cold-cast figure came mounted on wooden base. If you are to ask me, I would prefer the a clear glass or black plastic display base. The sculpture stands approximately 6"-7", having a glossy paint job with a very dynamic firing pose. Came in a square box and a small opening, allowing you to see the content within.

1/100 Scale GM Cannon II Conversion Parts

It's a big step to embark on any conversion parts, to think that all had to be started for scratch. I believed the original conversion parts to GM Cannon II was by B-Club. Unfortunately, the ones by B-Club had became rare and often overpriced. I instead ordered mine from E2046. Its came in resin parts and required a MG GM Custom as the basic kit. Glad to have this conversion parts though the remoulded parts lacked details and some did fix well, therefore required a lot of filing and puttying. Once again, I would emphasise that my work was amateur and I wanted some to try to build this kit as close as the mecha would look in the anime. The spraying was done using epoxy spray cans with the choice of Tamiya military colours, AS-5 Light Blue (Luftwaffe) and AS-14 Olive Green (USAF).

This time round, I wanted a simpler finish, so I decided to use a few more prominent water-slide decals and had especially chosen the pegasus emblem of Albion squad. I'm pretty proud with the overall finished product and welcomed GM Cannon II to the ranks of 1/100 scale GM in my collection. The thrill of having GM Cannon II pose beside MG GM Custom and Lt South Burning.

Infinite Stratos Cecelia Alcott Bandai Tamashii Nations Figuarts ZERO

On the left (FiguartsZERO) and on the right (Banpresto)

Considering one grade better than the Banpresto version, IS Academy pilots join the ranks of the FiguartsZero (fixed pose figurine that differ from the articulated S.H Figuarts) series. FiguartsZero is the new standard of figure series with an easily collectable price and size. It is a unique statue figure that focuses on form and colouring to reproduce each character's charm. Starting with the UK IS Representative Candidate and Blue Tears IS pilot Cecilia Alcott! This noble sniper from the British isles has most certainly given Ichika a lot to handle in the anime Pretty fab service, Cecilia is portrayed in stunning detail as seen in her body hugging IS suit and captured in sexy pose, lively expression, natural skin tone and playing with her long waving blond hair, on a clear blue display stand. Measures over 6" tall (16cm) with a pic comparison between the 2 versions.
