We have seen the Henkei Jetfire by Takara and very much the usual sale strategy, Hasbro will have their own version using the same mold. You will be able to see some of the differences when I put the two next to each other. Even though the colour scheme remain very much the same, the artwork differ. Henkei Jetfire has chrome verniers while Classic Jetfire's verniers remained black. Classic Jetfire has a bigger area of cockpit exposed, colors of the missiles are translucent blue and in order to revive the shield, it has the rub on autobots label which is absence in Henkei Jetfire. The last difference I noticed is the colour on their head visor.
I have friends who told in terms of plastic quality, Hasbro version tends to lose out to Takara. I guess this is rather subjective and there's always beauty in either versions. As for some, they are just happy to have more variants to boost the collection. These two are not all and I will showcase more variants of this Jetfire courtesy of Jason.

I still like the old macross head. LOL
Definitely bro! It's the 1/55 VF-1S mold for the vintage Jetfire. That's power to the max! Cheers!
I have to agree with LEon, I like the original head as well. But that still would not stop me from grabbing them at the right price.
i prefer these renewed versions (so i disagree with all of u)... both of them seem a bit "fat" for me, but i like bulky things =), very nice figures indeed...
macross with super pack. haha!

Kind of remember you have the vintage jetfire in your collection. I bought my Henkei Jetfire when it was first released and it cost fatherly 20 USD. I guess the value had gone up.

I would say the new version has more likeness to the jetfire on TF cartoon. Now that you mentioned, the upper body of this toy in robot mode does look kind of bulky.

Yes bro, I had the Henkei version cos the toy has DNA of Macross Super Valkyrie in it. Ha! Ha!
I prefer the one stands to the left..Which version is that??
Kind of like the spot the different game isn't it. The one on the left is the Hasbro version.
