1/72 Minmay Guard VF-1S

1/72 Minmay Guard VF-1S on stand together with 1/144 valkyrie

I would say Hasegawa kits are much more complex compared to Gunpla since it come with many small parts and parts are mainly one colour tone (white) and hence require a lot of spraying. I was rather stunned with complexity of the kits fter getting the unbuilt kit of Minmay Guard, so I decided on getting another one that had been built by expert. Hee! Hee!

Luck was on my side as I recent found this fantastic, expertly-finished VF-1S Strike Valkyrie on eBay. This 1/72 model is highly detailed, and poseable, and features the Lynn Minmay "Moon Act" paint scheme. This is a delicate, fully-painted model and not suitable for play.

It's intended as a display piece. Finished with Tamiya acrylics, including full decal application. Sad to say that the right arm broke during shipping but nothing can’t be fixed with gun glue. I am the lucky chap in Singapore that is now the proud owner of Minmay Guard VF-1S Strike battroid!

as (The Lord of the Rings’) Gollum would say: "my precious..." kjakjakjajkajjkaja... oh! u r so lucky, to hav the budget to get both the Hasegawa MK & the finished MK of this Macross VF... i wouldn’t dare to buy an MK from another brand different to Bandai or Kotobukiya (K K, myb if i would get the Alien 2 dropship, or the USS Sulaco, or the APC, the rest, nevermind)... i hate glue/cement & to paint too much =PPP but i love this mecha, u know a do =D

It around S$120 for the built kit.

MK by Bandai or Kotobukiya are definitely more friendly and I'm consider really lucky to have the built MK. Especially when it's limited edition and so rare to find Minmay Guard.

Nice buy. And the kit was nicely done too.

I also sell finish kit, let me know if you ever want a nicely painted GM. I can also do a very good macross job too. I will give u a good discount. But shipping might kill-ya. LOL

By the way, my newly finsihed Stark Jegan was sold for $200USD to a toy store owner including the images in a booklet that I created. It is now displayed nicely at his toy store glass display. I miss my Stark Jegan... =(

And so I am building another one. Also I was commissioned to repaint (I like to use the term remaster) 2 toys for another customer.

- Robot Damashii (Side AS) Savage
Maybe I will post about it later...

What a beauty!

Looks like one very sweet build and a very cool battriod in the collection.

Wow! Great earning from the well-built Stark Jegan. It's so nice that your hobby can fetch some cash.

Yes, it is good buy cos most well built and painted kit or toy cost a lot more. I sure if you this kit, you will be able to do a good job.

Different merchandises to suit different people who's into gasaphon, statue, action figure, model kit, game and toy.

Minmay is still another league higher than any other female characters in any Macross series. Hee! Hee!

That must of taken forever to get all those decals on. It looks totally AWESOME!

Not sure I have the cash to lay down for a finished one and probably not the time to finish it myself either
