G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra Action Movie

Just returned home after watching G.I Joe with my wife, sis and best friend. Also not forgetting chilling out @ Gloria Jean. I have a little understanding of G.I Joe when watching the cartoon during my younger days and this probably attracted me to watch the movie. I remember having a few G.I Joe figurines (one of it Sgt Slaughter) and small vehicles as a kid and I remember Toy R' Us used to have lotz & lotz of G.I Joe toys on sale.

The movie really is packed with tons of actions, or shall I say action from the start till the end. The casts playing the characters were well suited and I especially like the image of General Hawk and Storm Shadow. The high tech weaponry used in the movie are super impressive too! The ending of the movie also suggested that there would be a sequel....

Hi Katsuden,

I didn't watch the cartoon in the 80's either. But I enjoyed the this movie. I wonder if the toys are popular because I still see lots of them on the dept store pegs... :P

I'm not so sure too, but G.I Joe sure has its own fan base. I always like their vehicles but I won't start collecting a new toy range. Not for the moment. Hee! Hee!

Thanks for the review, must watch it this weekend. used to have some of the figures before but all throw away due to the rubber inside the body has broken.

Yes definity one of the better movies in 2009.

The rubber that binds the legs is the weakest of the figurines. Sad to hear that.

I think with the movie being released, the cartoon would likely to be air on TV again. It's a good way to market their toys isn't it. I hope they adopt my idea. Hee! Hee!
