Had just completed my collection of code 1 Patlabor movies DVD with the recent import of Patlabor movie 3. Have yet to watch the third movie but the first two movies that I have watched proofed very intellectual. The stories were much more serious than the TV version and Movie 2 especially was political. I have difficulty understanding the plot even with the English dubbed and English subtitles. The anime were nicely drawn however there ain't many fighting scenes throughout these movies. In my opinion, these are more for Patlabor fans who have certain background and understanding of Patlabor.

1/35 Gakken Scott Bernard Legioss

Showcasing my vintage Gakken Mospeada 1/35 scale Scott Bernard Legioss that is of Japan version. I got this more than five years ago from old Rapid Culture together with the red & green Legioss as well as the Cyclone bike for S$400/- each. The condition of the box is C7 and toy C7 with slight yellowing on some areas. The cockpit cover was also cracked. The legioss comes with a miniature pilot which the previous owner had done an outstanding customization by painting it to Lt Scott Bernard suit.
Just polished this Legioss last week to clear away the dust accumulated over the years. Cleaning process is much less stressful than transforming this vintage toy for phototaking. I had cautiously to watch out for the fragile part especially the wings. A metal pin securing one half of the wings actually fell off during the transformation that really scared the hell out of me. I thought I had broken the wing and was never going to fix it back. Luckily, it was just a false alarm.

Arch Enemy Gundam Wing Zero
Back view of box
My only piece of Gundam Arch Enemy figure that MISB. It's the Wing Zero Gundam, the arch enemy of Tallgeese till they became ally in Endless Waltz. The toy comes in a collector's series box which I think would make reseal a hassle. The nice part about the packaging would be the widely exposed transparent window which on the other hand expose the toy to more UV rays. I guess it is not easy to achieve best of both worlds.

Morphers Alpha fighters (Legioss)
Alpha on the runway
Before Toynami launched the masterpiece Alpha fighters, it first stirred up the emotions of both Robotech and Mospeada fans with it's super deform SD version. These SD Alpha fighters are quite value for money as they not only come with pull back action wheels but are also able to transform between fighter and battroid. Furthermore, they look nicer than the SD Toynami valkyries. Good effort by Toynami in making these simple and yet interesting toys.

In conjunction with Macross 25th Anniversary, Bandai has again reissued 1/55 scale Roy Focker VF1S & Hikaru VF1J. Can find them on Ebay selling at around US $75. The box design looks nice however I already have a few of these in vintage and previous reissued. I guess I would be paying these so soon as I probably wait for good bargain. This is an update of my previous news on 1/55 Macross reissue.

Here's my other VF17 from Macross 7. This is the VF17D version and it is differentiated physically from VF17S by it's colour scheme and the design of the head. The transformation and weapon accessories for both 1/65 scale VF17 are also the same. I got this VF17D sometime last year a China Square Fleamarket @ a very affordable price of just S$45/-.
I think the toy went on offer cos the window of the box was damaged. So I repaired it by replacing it with transparency. The condition of box is C7 and toy is C9. No missing parts and stickers applied. So how or rather, I find this piece more difficult to find compared to VF17S. Also didn't see any of this in the reissued form.
