Dragon Ball DBZ SCulture Desert Bandit Yamcha Figure

Figure on original stand

Figure on customised acrylic stand

狼牙風風拳!!!

Yamcha ヤムチャ has always been one of my favourite and has a special place in my heart even as a supporting character in the Dragon Ball manga, and in the anime Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, also making a few appearances in Dragon Ball GT. He is a former boyfriend of Bulma and the lifelong best friend of Puar. A former desert bandit, Yamcha was once an enemy of Goku, but quickly reformed and became a lifelong friend and ally. Brave, boastful and dependable, Yamcha is a very talented martial artist and one of the most gifted Humans on Earth, possessing skills and traits that allow him to fight alongside his fellow Z Fighters when major threats loom. However, by the latter half of Dragon Ball Z, he is largely outclassed by both his allies and their enemies, and thus retires from fighting.

A tribute of Yamcha through Zoukei Tenkaichi Budokai Colosseum 4 Vol. 3, in considerably awesome size of 5.5"(12cm) PVC figure, in his youth (a beautiful representation of Yamcha in his prime). It looks great and for an extremely reasonable price especially by Banpresto with simple assembling of 3 parts (excluding the base) mainly the top, bottom and sword. Excellent sculpt of Yamcha's facial expression charging using his iconic move Wolf Fang Fist Attack 狼牙風風拳!!!, packed with motion and energy that it just leaps off, in his desert bandit attire the first Dragon Ball TV series bearing his symbol on the front body.

Amazing Yamcha's long hair flowing, the wiggles on his clothing and muscular arms. The figure needs a stand base for its dynamic pose and for a more manga looking display, I bought a third party customised acrylic stand with his name engraved, also the add-on of wolves and his lifelong best friend of Puar on the background.

That’s a very handsome statue, quite dynamic, colorful and intricate in terms of sculpting !!!... I have seen other statues in your collection made by Banpresto, already published and I must say that this one stands out; it’s a reminder of a time in the Dragon Ball Series when fights were not so over the top, yet, I don’t remember very well this pre Dragon Ball Z Yamcha, just because Dragon Ball didn’t hook me... The third party add-ons are just perfect and complement nicely the already wonderful statue, it’s like they were planned to be together from the start !!!... =D

The original stand is a black piece with a funny shape. I thought it's normally a transparent one :)

The acrylic stand really brings out the spirit of Yamcha at his prime.. This is the timeline that Dragon Ball is really fun and less fight intense. Still my favourite segment remains with the DBZ when the Z fighters including Yamcha is still useful..

True bro, should have a clear part to replace the black stand entirely for perfection...

I don't know much about this character but as the name suggest, he is probably a keen tea drinker....

A lot of DBZ characters are given names resembling food and beverages. On the contrary, Yamcha does not have any linkage to tea affiliation lolz...
