Star Wars Run Singapore 6th May 2017

Join me and together and we will rule the galaxy as husband and wife! Feel great with wifee joining me for the first Star Wars Run in Singapore, hopefully I'm not dragging her along for my selfish geek interest, joining the non competitive 4.5km run for the novelty and the feeling of being a weekend warrior. There was a turn out of 17000 last evening and it kind crowded and not much of space for run unless you join the 10km race.

It's more like a carnival rather than a run for me, appreciating the fire works display, all the Star Wars theme songs been played, meeting friends though the place was really crowded hence not actually been able to meet all of them but the good feeling of bumping into someone we know along the way. My constant companions for the run, beside wifee, were Stanley and Winson. As the atmosphere grew better with more scenic views when twilight faded into darkness.

Feel the wraft of Jedi Master Katsuden in this cool back view pose holding this awesome light saber borrowed from Wilson.. Ok! I'm a forged ^_^

Kylo Ren leading the Dark Side in the Run and Chewbacca for the Light Side.

An epic moment of Kylo cheering Darth!

Taking photo with Chewbacca dressed up runner. Who do you support? The Light or Darkness. Or are you in Light but an agent from Darkness side.

Bumped into Master Jedi Kit! Group photo together with Wilson in Kylo Ren and anonymous Stormtrooper runner. Let's all be friends!

Wifee and my finishing medals! Awesome!

Sharing some items from both Light and Dark sides goodie bags

Managed to take a video of the fireworks display moments before the flag off of the 4.5km Run. Just like liberation Day Lolz ....

Why your wife go into the Dark side?

I don’t like marathons or any event related with running, and actually I can’t participate, just because I have internal injuries on my knees... But I do like to share time with my family and friends and this kind of events are a perfect excuse !!!... Looking at the pictures and the souvenirs you got there, I think you had a great time, even considering the usual crowds... =D

I usually avoid crowd so this is quite the exception. Sorry to learn your knee problemYou take good care of your knees pal. Enjoyable event and definitely most memorable when they do it the first time here!

Enjoy the good things bro! Hopefully the organization would make the event better in future. It's after all the very first.
