Code Geass Lancelot Model Kit

There the most basic model kit of the Lancelot Knightmare Frame as portrayed from the first season of "Code Geass." My favourite and most heroic Knightmare that stand between the Imperial and Zero Black Knight. Scale at 1/35 and since Knightmare Frame is a relatively small mecha the kit stand at almost the same height as 1/144 Gundam mobile suit model kit. Articulations are fairly fluid as it could almost express some of its signature poses in the anime without dislocating the joints. Some of the stances may look a bit awkward but still faithful to the anime IMHO.

The kit came with a range of weapons one pair of vibration swords, VARIS blaster rifle, and grappling hooks. For those who wanted Lancelot with more gears could consider later releases like 'Conquista' or 'Air Cavalry'. There are also Robot Spirit action figure and composite version if you have set aside a higher budget and prefer having Lancelot in a form of toy over model kit.

Some nice gimmicks to the kit include land spinners move and the wheels spin, slash hariken which can be fired with guided wires and removable cockpit cover revealing its interior and pilot Sazaku Kururugi. Beside the cockpit seated Sazaku, Bandai also threw in a standing Sazaku figure.

Both the Sazaku figures are in plain white at such painting required. To make the Lancelot looks more majestic, it's encouraged to paint those dull yellow parts, gold and some parts red beside drawing panel lines. Another alternative is getting the premium 'Royal Coating Version' which the yellow parts were coated chrome. Then again, the VARIS blaster rifle is still molded in grey instead of blue, along with the hand so in order to make it more anime accurate, blue paint is required. Pardon my amateur painting ^_^

i must confess i was looking for this model kit some years ago and i can see it looks fabulous, despite it’s simpler than a recent High Grade or Real Grade Gundam in 1:144 scale !!!... the mecha design is neat, modern, complemented very well by the color scheme and it matches perfectly with the techno-medieval theme of the anime series... it was a great choice, for sure !!!... =)

The Lancelot is one awesome mecha in terms of design and the way it of shown on anime kickass! I was a late comer to finishing the anime and finally having this kit. There was the Robot Damashii version too but I'm happy with this kit in overall. Your confession is truly justified I head over toes for this mecha too!

Lancelot is smaller that Gundam and so the pilot is bigger even as the machine is relatively the height of 1/144 Gundam. I usually passed when it comes to painting gundam pilot even for MG scale. This pilot is easier to work on but still I messed it up ^_^

yeah it's almost in the same size with patlabor maybe,, haha we all want our pilot figure to be in some color not just plain white :(

You are so right bro! I had a couple of 1/35 MG Patlabor and had to move lazy butt to hand paint them the pilot figures too. That's why I sometimes opted toy figure over model kit. Then again I feel that model kit condition last longer after spraying protective lacquer.

I won't say it's excellent and I would like the action figure is better. I tryed to pose this kit similar to the action figure but somehow the pose seems a bit awkward. Since I already have this kit done up, guess there is no urgent setting with the action figure. I will waiting for preowned good deal..
