Japanese Collectibles Fair @ Takashimaya

We bring you this special bulletin so you could spend your spare cash for some Japanese collectibles! Japanese Collectibles Fair is now happening @ Takashimaya's Talking Hall till 25.03.2014. I was there today to do some handphone journalism after information gathered from fellow collectors. There is a section promoting coming soon movie of Godzilla 15th May with the merchandises already out.

From my observation, the main toy brand participated is Bandai. There's even an effort for product display and some samples of yet to released Gunpla. I got to see MG 1/100 Build Strike Gundam with Plavsky Wing, Build Gundam MK-II and  MG 1/100 Sengoku Astray Gundam for the first time. Not all items going @ crazy pricing however some quality stuffs are as low as S$10/-. We are looking at villains, lunatics and forgotten half-breed heroes ... Lol...

I am glad it is there and not here. I am sure my son and myself may spend a few $$ to get some of that. He is actually looking for the Golden Gundam Unicorn.

I was tempted to buy Accel World Silver Crow after watching the anime as it look so much like Genoace in Gundam Age. Thereafter, I told myself I should save up for Black Lotus instead.

MG Golden Unicorn is an excellent pick. It's the mecha that was given the gold treatment like Hyaku Shiki & Akatsuki

every1 talking about Japan and now you too ><!

So much toys, I could walk around and pick up every toy and look at them, but I know the shop staff would not like it haha

the display and assortment of merchandise in these fairs/shops are way better there than here... also the prices and discounts are tempting, at least for me, since i’m used to higher prices for these items... the fact that, right now, i’m more into diecast collecting, doesn’t mean that i lost my contact with other type collectibles and in the right time, they will come back to my collection...

fortunately, this new stage has allowed me exercising a healthy self-control (which i can see, you already have, pal)... =)

As a matter of fact, I'm a collector more inclined to Japanese collectibles. However, I love watching Western Super Heroes movies these days. Sometime, I wish I could collect everything however it's just not possible. Lol...

Seeing toys and them on display make my day and with those crazy discount, I have to constantly de-suade myself and commit to on those which is must must to have. It's good to commit on a certain range of toy you like most and diecast collecting is equally awesome : )
