WWE: Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin Figure

I took noticed of Shelton Benjamin when he introduced as a member of 'World Greatest Tag-team' under the wings of Kurt Angle. As usual, Shelton Benjamin played the role of a villain for a start, like most other wrestlers. Shelton Benjamin later gained popularity with his agility and some really cool kicks like the 'Super Kick'. I didn't quite like the image of Shelton Benjamin as 'Gold Standard' with his hair dyed gold and wearing golden trunks, before he left WWE in 2010. This figure came together as a bundle with my other WWE figures like Rey Mysterio, John Cena & Shawn Michael. Well, they are really nice figurines thanks to Mattel's sharp sculpting. Now, I'm in search of another WWE figure, Rob Van Dam.

Jumbo Grade Zeta Gundam

Another powerhouse to my Gundam collection is this latest import of Jumbo Grade Zeta Gundam. Got it for a reasonable price of around 200 plus Singapore dollars including shipping given the fact that it’s a preloved been displayed in showcase with no paint wear. The piece I’m having does come complete as transforming parts and landing gears were missing but don’t affect display in robot mode. It’s ok for me because I just need it for display inside my room to keep Jumbo Grade RX-78 Gundam companied. Ha! Ha!

Souten Kouro 蒼天航路

A new discovery for Sangokushi / Romance of Three Kingdoms related anime known as Souten Kouro, also translated as 'Beyond The Heavens'. This anime originated from manga and unlike other animes of Sangokushi, Souten Kouro story centered around Cao Cao and he was portrayed as more of a valiant hero rather than villain. On the other hand, Liu Bei in this anime, was more of a sweet-talker, good-for-nothing lad. Whether who was more of a hypocrite, it's really up to individual's perception. Souten Kouro kind of follows the main plot of Sangokushi or though there's lotz of fictitious alike 'Dynasty Warriors'. You can expect some degree of violence (hot-blooded battles) & scenes (mild). A short anime with 26 episodes where it ended at the battle of Guan Du.

Synopsis:
China 2A.D.: the corrupting Han Dynasty has thrown the entire country into chaos. Peasants revolt against the government. Into such an age, the ruthless and infamous hero, Cao Cao Mengde is born. Destroying old customs and values, he tries to unite China, with a band of promising and intellectual followers, handpicked for their individual talents and potential. Generally thought a villain, Cao Cao Mengde is portrayed as a hero in this story, which focuses on what kind of person he actually was. There are two other protagonists: Liu Bei Xuande and Sun Quan Zhongmou. Liu is a man of high morals and infinite potential. His servant, Zhuge Kongming is a mysterious man, who helps Liu to become a king who is loved by millions. Sun is the third descendant of the Sun family. A young and immature king also comes into the picture, creating more chaos. This is a Tale of the Three Kingdoms ('Sanguozhi') in which these three men rage war throughout China

HCM Pro Freedom Gundam

There's a repost to recap the grace of Freedom Gundam which I had retaken the pic to enhance your view pleasure. This is my very first HCM pro as well as my first Freedom Gundam figure so it's rather significant. Even though I prefer bigger toy, I kind of like the details and articulation of HCM Pro figurines. The imperfection would be some panel lines appearing thick and difficulty handling this delicate toy with my clumsy hands. Nevertheless the toy is very posable and it comes with a clear display stand. There are surprisingly numerous points of articulation from limbs to funnels. The weapons of this toy alike model kit, comes attached to tree. The biggest problem to me is still the size, you really need to have slow and steady hands to pose the toy.

STGCC 2011 - Shunya Yamashita's Super Heroines

The display of these non-articulated PVC figure illustrated by Yamashita Shunya had caught my attention at STGCC 2011. This is a joint effort between Kotobukiya and western comics companies like Marvel and DC. A fine combination of voluptuousness and power of Marvel/DC heroines together with the delicate lines usually seen in the pretty girls in Japanese anime or manga.

STGCC 2011 - The Adorables

Here are some of the cute/adorable stuffs that I had bumped into at booths like 'Otaku House', 'Play Imaginative', 'Singapore Post Limited' and 'Nintendo'. There are a lot more other booths selling cute designer toys and merchandises but they ain't familiar to me.

STGCC 2011 - Tamiya

The good old Tamiya mini 4WD race cars have made it's come back. The races are opened to anyone visiting STGCC 2011. If you don't a Tamiya mini 4WD race cars, you immediately get yours at Tamiya booth. Man, I still remember my first Tamiya mini 4WD race car is the red 'Dancing Doll'. I still see some really familiar Tamiya mini 4WD race cars on the rack. Awesome!
