My second Evangelion characters figure after the first cute Rei Ayanami figure. There's a gashapon figure of Shinji Ikari (He pilots the Evangelion Unit 01) in his plug-suit posing like Sir Stamford Raffles standing approximately 3 inches tall. The figure is made of plastic with clear sharp details, come in full color and easily snap firmly together.

heyya... great gashapon Dennis !!!... i remember the collector friend who import my toys, offered me this complete set, but at that moment i wasn’t interested in any toy (2 months later he imported the EVA 00 HG model kit from Bandai & that was my doom, cuz that was the 1st collection figure i buyed him & then, the collector plague spreads inside me...) at least, now i hav 1 Shinji Ikari from another gashapon set... i dunno if i’ll publish him... EVANGELION, always a beautiful & strange series... my sincere congrats !!! =DDDDD
I'm surprised that you have much liking for Evangelion and now I know you better. I really hope to see you do a posting of for Shinji gasaphon. I feel like watching the series again.
I used to own most of the Eva's back in the day when they came out on VHS. Never really been into the male figures, but does have nice details. I have been getting some of the Rei/Asuka sets recently however
Seems to me that Rei & Asuka have knockout popular over their male counterparts. Revoltech is make Version 2 of Rei & Asuka and I bet it will be another wave of heat!

I swear it is so hard to find a good Sinji figure. Most are gashapon which lacks details. And Kaiyodo & other nice figure company only issue Rei, Asuka and that new green girl Mari, but no nice Shinji. Whats up with that.
The only and most epic, Shinki fig ill see so far, mainly because the pose is just desperate to be Bad-ass(which he currently is not^^;)

Shinji is a shy individual and it's sad to see he had to suffering so much and deprived from love. It's no wonder he could channel his frustration and anger in mad during battle.
Shinji is really a poor guy. Both of the gals and the Mech are so famous but as the lead, he was left out...
well i think Shinji is not the typical main character of an anime series... many ppl thinks he’s pathetic, but i think he’s just an adolescent with all his conflicts & problems... he sees himself as a normal dude that has to take the huge responsability of save the world & he just wanna hav his normal life, the normal life he hadn’t... & bout good figures of Shinji, well i want to grab a Shinji & Kaoru PVC statues from Kotobukiya (also the Asuka & Rei display...) but i think that gashapon hasn’t lack of detail... in fact, they r more detailed than other figures i’ve seen with the same size...
