If I have recalled correctly, VF-4 first appearance was during 'Flashback 2012' showing Hikaru piloting this sleek valkyrie towards the end of the OVA. That is way you see the Squad Squadron logo on the tail fin. Other valkyries you get to see in this issue would be VF-2SS and VF-1A in both Kakizaki TV version as well as the all-time dispensable Cannon Fodder. As for character section, this issue has got Max profile in DYRL, Minmay in concert attire during 'Flashback 2012' and lastly Sheryl statue in those fancy costumes that make you go into ecstasy fantasy.

Reckon the VF-4 is the best looking valkyrie in fighter mode myself, just looks so sleek.

I hope I can be a mecha animation working in Japan! Hee! Hee! I'm daydreaming.
Do they have any toy of the VF-4? I wouldn't mind getting one of that.
So far have not seen the toy, but there should be a 1/72 scale Hasegawa kit on it. The kit is only in fighter mode (plane) that is not transformable.
WOW... i know everybody goes for the mechas (i saw one of ur toys there, in illustration... hehehe), & it’s fine cuz they look so desirable, but OM the dolls r pretty sexy & the best of all, they r Banpresto, so i guess the price is not a big problem (if they would b Yamato, well, they’d b outside my budget by far...) anyway i’m out of the business, i’m clean of money, like distilled water LOL... as always, THX Dennis for this kind of reviews, cuz as far as i know, these magazines r not available here in my country... ;D
Oh yes! Banpresto does make desirable figure for a very reasonable price. There are a lot of magazine on Gundam but ain't many on Macross so I think doing such review will give more information for Macross fans out there.
