Universal Soldier - A New Beginning Action Movie

Giving support to my action-packed idol Jean-Claude Van Damme and so I made my way to cinema again. Cinema staff asked for my NRIC for watching this M18 movie! Best part was I didn't bring my ID card out except credit card.

Luckily I managed to talk my way out but it should be obvious that I looked older than that. Maybe it’s because I went with a colleague who looks really under 18. They staffs must have thought we are of the same age group.

I will say the movie score better than I expectation with fast pace action scenes and realistic gun battle. The movie didn't focus too much on Van Damme but fortunately he gets to participate in the last fight as a retired Universal Soldier. Hee! Hee! This old guy still got some cool moves , but no more legs split.

As for Dolph Lundren, he's more of a guest star in this movie but it's never boring to see these original actors of ‘Universal Soldier’ crushed head on again. What a tribute to two these great action stars from the 80’s.

'Dennis the Menace', I remember that cartoon. Hee! Hee! Hey, I have watched 'Avatar' in 3D, but had forgotten to blog about it. Personally, the CGI is awesome and it's a movie that's touching and carry a good moral value. Human usually find excuses to fight in the name of their so-call "justice" and forgotten the importance of great mother nature. But somehow, watching with 3D glasses make my eyes really tired and teary. Kind of uncomfortable exactly.

Chris, you almost make me type a lot. Ha! Ha!

LO____oL that’s good !!! ... short comments r fine, but it feels a ltl impersonals, like "i hav to do this but actually i dun want to..." our hobby is bout emotions as well, we do not collect just pieces of plastic and cardboard with a price tag, there is a world of imagination behind the comics, anime series, movies & collection figures ofc !!!

A lady would be flattered that she's mistaken for younger age! Haha, that was quite a funny experience you had there! :D

uhmmmm Dennis, r u sure that ur teary eyes problem with Avatar was for the 3D images in motion or myb for the 3D rush of human feelings involved in the story ???

What accent?

Will watch, But i totally forgot about this after seeing the trailer quite sometime ago. Good to here that old skool action heroes still cut it.

lol...man you must look really young :D

I saw this show too! I was surprised to find Dolph Lundgren being brought back for this installment ^^ Brings back good old memories of part 1. For a moment I thought he will be the last boss vs van damme :D

Oh yes! It's still nice to these old action movie heroes doing probably their final movie of their iconic movies. Just like Sylvester Stallone doing Rambo 4 & Arnold Schwarzenegger doing Terminator 3.

I saw the previews and was not sure if it would make it on my list. I will have to check it out once it comes on DVD or Blu-ray

@ chrismandesign - Avatar was a looong movie and some great special effects. It has some movie themes that are common in most of his stuff. I was surprised it made to be such a hit though.
